Lornoth
I like WR screens personally, but you have to know when and how to use them. Look at Denver, their offense heavily involves screens and short passes similar to them. Dirk seems to just throw them out at bad times, or maybe we just don't have the deep ball / running game to set them up quite as well.Either way, WR Screens good, how we use them bad. krammmit
So you're saying we shouldn't run it 4x a game? I wonder if Mike Smith's 4 year old daughter knows this. She obviously doesn't oe we would stop doing it.
DaSteeleboy
It seems like that was the only thing Koetter was calling for in the 1st half. This team called more screen plays today than they have all season.
Tuggle'2
I do too. Wish they would still send the WRs out wide to draw coverage and then use either Smith or Freeman when throwing a screen. It would be so much more effective in my opinion.

Geaux_Falcons
Does Koetter even utilize the slant route?
Falkonator
u cant call screen plays to WRs when u are constantly calling quick pass plays like quick outs and drag routes, denver throws alot of deep balls, and mid range stuff, the way baltimore threw the screen to smith was honestly perfect, we where playing off waiting for something deep and smith just cuaght a quick screen and took off. Domed Outter
Got to push their DBs back for it to be effective. Don't think Ryan got out a deep pass until the 4th which Julio was unable to snag.Opponents keep everything in front of them because they know we won't hold out long enough for deep shots.
