jlrfalcon
We are easily playing below our capabilities at present but I am not totally convinced that the season is over. The Panthers lost today and are only a game above us (plus a tie) and we still have 2 head-on games with them. The Saints are actually about to lose again today and Jimmy Graham is not playing for them. The Bucs are actually worse than us.The NFC South division winner is only going to be 9-7 at best and going 7-2 over the remaing 9 is not impossible and 6-3 (8-8 division winner) is even less unreasonable. If there is a massive changeover in coaching or other spark that could really put a new attitude on this team, I do believe that we could just as easily overperform as we are underperforming right now.If the Falcons were a stock pick, the best times to buy a stock is when its down not when its up. However, I honestly would not invest a lot in the Falcons right now.
jlrfalcon
I also thought the Nationals had pretty much fallen out of the MLB division race in mid-summer but they stormed back to their potentials in the final months.
highlightreel08
technically yes we're still very much in position to win the division but I haven't seen anything from this team that indicates we're gonna win more than 2/3 more games. MAD597
You are INSANE at 2-5 we'd have to go 8-1 to have a playoff shot. We are a broken team with no heart and Smith has lost this locker room. We are going to get a top 5 draft pick. The season was over when we lost our starting oline during the vikings game.
Falcanuck
The Falcons are probably the 4th worst team in the league.Every team that has beat the Falcons has gone on to be very mediocre or worse. The Falcons season is over.
ATLsuperfan247
We have bigger issues than winning the division. Arthur Blank clearly made it known that he wanted them to protect ryan and that he wanted a tough team and Mike smith didn't deliver smh. DaSteeleboy
if you think the season's not over then good for you but I'm convinced after today that this is a sinking ship and players and coaches are playing for job securities.

Romfal
You watch the game? How about the one from last week? we are just bad. Bad lines, bad coaching, bad playcalling, bad routes, bad hands, say we win the division 7-9, we still get beat bad at home by any actual playoff team. I just want a new regime, lose more now to win more later works for me just fine. the 2014 Atlanta Falcons arent going anywhere. A bad football team.
