Arthur Blank And Cdc Director Thomas Frieden Make Quite Similar Declarations

I find these two declarations, made despite all evidence to the contrary, to be quite similar in form and substance. So much so, it is as if these creations originated from the same PR department.biggrin.png

BLANK CONFIDENT FALCONS CAN TURN IT AROUND

My wife works for the Centers for Disease Control. If people would take the time to educate themselves about the Ebola virus they would realize that the chances of getting it are about the same as the Falcons turning this season around.

Truth bomb right there.

Are you saying that we shouldn't root for the Falcons to turn this season around? :)

I apologize for hitting too close to home, and I certainly did not mean to denigrate your wife's hard work. I have actually defended the CDC and the Dallas hospital in discussions around the net. Still, Frieden's statements that we can control Ebola, before fully knowing the extent of those exposed and while those that have it cannot seem to stay in one place, is a statement better left unsaid. I just found both statements more of a reassurance type statement then anything else.

Oh, it's no biggie AREA51. I even made an Ebola joke on Twitter..."I have country cousins so stupid they think Ebola is an Italian app for soup recipes."

Yup.

Fear mongering at it's finest by the media right now. Comparing fatality rates of Ebola to SARS to prove a point is utterly moronic. SARS was a North American disease. Ebola originated in third world countries with little to no medical care at their disposal. Of course Ebola is going to kill a larger percentage.

It's why so many people hate the media. They and politicians seem to have turned fear mongering into a fine art.

I have been wondering how do these rappers(especially Gucci) have been able to record and release mixtapes and some albums during their time spent in prison.

I don't even remember Tupac doing that.

I don't even think Tupac or James Gandolfini (unlike this Falcons season) are dead. They keep releasing new material.

Yep, the media always makes things seem like a huge disaster or the next black plague.

As for politicians, most of them only pop up during election campaigning time to throw dirt on each other while claiming the opposing politician is the one that is dirty. They spew mostly lies to get people riled up and worried about many things that citizens most of the time don't even worry about just to gain voters. After the elections are over, most of them seem to disappear and not really be heard much of again until time to be re-elected.

only one that I can give an honest opinion on is Lil Wayne. He had tons of material already recorded before he spent his last tenure in jail. He also made a ton of videos to be released as well. They claim Tupac had unreleased material as well. I beg to differ. I have his loyal to the game cd and at the end of the song with G unit, he calls all their names out.

YouTube it Tupac ft G unit-loyal to the game

Yeah, I remember hearing that as well. I had to go back and listen to it over and over again. It was definitely a WTF moment.

Suge Knight has even said that Tupac is still alive at times over the years. Many people aren't taking him seriously because he is Suge Knight.

If it is true that Tupac is still alive, it will go down in history as the biggest hustle/con ever.
