TrufantIsland
I bet you all, that if he doesn't get the worst defense in the league fixed he will be fired after the Lions game. Our D played well against the Saints and were excellent against the Bucs. When I look at our players, I'd say we could definetly be a top 15 defense. But the disuse of our front seven allows to many explosive plays by the opponents. If not, I think smitty will let Armstrong and Cox handle the defense together. Armstrong is great at motivating the players and recognizing their abilities. He's the reason we've kept Antone for so long.

Deep2Julio
Our D was horrible against the saints. They played a lot better against the bears.
madman88
Nolan only wrks with what he has... is it his fault guys cnt get off blocks? Is it his fault guys armt communicating like they should? Is it his fault whern were not stopping the run even with 7 n 8 man boxes? I can go on and on, the point is that this defense is bad.. theres not one guy in the front 7 who is doninant at there position. We need playmakers on the inside not just the outside, and thats exactly hhow TD has built this team, a bunch of playmakers at the skilled position but none on either fronts.Cmon man what did you expect to happen bringing a sexy model to a dirty street fight TD!! So you are telling me that this coaching staff can't even groom 1 play-maker. c'mon, I've seen other teams grooming 3-5 rounder but our coaching staff has NONE... Mass and Mop could be a good candidate but this coaching staff won't give them enough chances.
Duff_Man
He has the highest probability of a bye week firing.

madman88
Understood.. but he needs to simplify his scheme. So you are telling me that this coaching staff can't even groom 1 play-maker. c'mon, I've seen other teams grooming 3-5 rounder but our coaching staff has NONE... Mass and Mop could be a good candidate but this coaching staff won't give them enough chances.IWe went through two oline coaches, dline coach,dc,oc added a olb coach to help. All of this with the same result. I remember vangorder saying he lacked "personel" to run certain things, that was yrs ago and the defense was better then then it is now.I do think nolan is over thinking it, but I also dnt think he has much of a choice either. Think about it. We dnt have one guy in our front 7 who is dominant at his position.(excluding solia) We cnt stop the run even with 7&8 man fronts. I feel like nolan has to move pieces around to try and confuse QBs into making mistakes since he lacks playmakers. We gotta have talent to mold it into something.TD wants the most athletic players, but I want the best football players man. Mr. Lubba Lubba©
He can take Biermann with him to his next team and keep trotting him out onto the field too.I can already envision that team's forums:"Nolan says Biermann is his chess piece, he's going to break out with us! He can rush the passer and cover! Our defense is going to be awesome!" Edited October 16, 2014 by Mr. Lubba Lubba©

Falcons&Bulldogs#1Fan
When you have guys sitting on the bench only because the starters in front of them have big contracts and the front office and coaching staff doesn't wanna admit to fukking up on signing them to long term deals this is the result...
