I wonder how many on our board could actually  solve the last equation? :D

You have more faith in our board than I do after experiencing conversations with many of these people.

Regardless, of Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally.

You could start a thread with that equation, ask them not to cheat by googling the problem, and you see I am right.

That's assuming they don't cheat of course.

I can't lie. I was a pretty good student all the way through graduate school and I only actually paid attention to PEMDAS/PEDMAS in the last year or so. Not sure if I forgot about it or if I never really questioned why I got some of those questions on math tests wrong when I was so sure they were right. Guess I was happy enough with a B that I wasn't going to complain.

Now, I eagerly seek out those equations on the web as if I'm obsessed.

I too was a good college student, actually better than my formative years of schooling. But I'd still like to see what some these people on here could do with simple equations like that.

I would think that they are given the answer, all of them.  But that might be a mistake.

The answer is 97....

but yeah, I could figure it out.  That was 7th grade math for me.  Pretty easy when PEMDAS was brought into play.
