kelvin31063
Just seeing if anyone had any legitimate information on Thomas Decoud's play this year with the Panthers. I watch every Falcon's and Bulldog's game but my girlfriend nags too much when I hog the TV for other games. So I haven't had a chance to really assess if he's actually an NFL caliber safety again because God knows he was everything but that last year and was never really a Pro Bowler. Lornoth
Everytime i've seen him he's been the same as he was here. Good ball skills in the air but can't tackle and doesn't take good angles.
Des-pool
He failed to stop Pittsburgh on several long running plays. he was in position, and it was the same Decoud, can't tackle crap. I mean, he got trucked by LaGarett Blount twice. If a running back hits the 3rd level, its an almost guaranteed long play on Carolina. Shoggoth42
He still sucks, it was embarrassing for Carolina Sunday night. I am sooooooooooo glad he is gone.
Des-pool
It really has been addition by subtraction. Lowery is serviceable, and doesn't get run over every running play.

Lornoth
He has awful ball skills....Eh, i disagree. He plays the ball well when he's in the right position, which he rarely is, granted.
kelvin31063
Well glad he's gone... even if he becomes a stud this year he had to leave. He needed a reality check to start valuing his career again.http://www.carolinahuddle.com/boards/topic/105028-trai-turner-thomas-decoud-mike-shula/?hl=%2Bthomas+%2BdecoudThey aren' too fond of him either LMAO

He plays the ball well when he's in the right position, which he rarely is, granted.I don't think he's ever knocked a ball down in a jump ball scenario ever. I just remember Kearse from the Seahawks owning him even tho DeCoud was in perfect position.EDIT:
thesouphead
Vs the Steelers:TD saving tackle on an 81 yard run! Direct miss-tackle on a 51 yard run and Blount just ran his *** over on a TD run.

primetime
Started OK against the steelers - made a couple of open field tackles on middle runs. I thought for half a second he had got that kick up the a$$ he needed and had got serious about tackling. As the previous poster said he ran down someone to save a TD also. His first error was on a deep pass (cover 1 or 3) vs a single receiver where he held and gave away a big pass interference. Horrible penalty and really unnecessary. Then he misses a couple of open field tackles thru poor angles and got run over on the goal line. In fairness he still attacked hard but Blount is a big back and although he was trucked he still managed to hold on and would have made the tackle. Honestly both teams could benefit from the trade so in ok with it
NCFalconfan
Carolina currently has the worst red zone defense in the NFL. Coincidence?

mtldirtybird
Lol panthers d drops from 2nd best to terrrible. Coincidence? Like everyone said, vs Pitts he was sooo bad, and td saving tackle?? How about he shouldve tackled him like a man 15 yards earlier, he plays soft, and 0 ball skills tho he has the size and speed
