Bierman's Performance Thurs

Recommended Posts

I saw him on the pass break up and was impressed,he stayed with his man step for step, that was an accomplishment for a big man,and one coming off such a devistating injury, let's see how /if he progresses. It may be a mental thing, just needs his confidence back.He is getting some competition so it may push him to do better.getting sacks last night has to have broken the mental barrier for the defense,I KNOW we will see more in the next game(s).

I'm fine with a wait-and-see approach until we have a better option for the 53, but do we have to give the guy more snaps than any LB/DL not named Worrilow while we wait?

I could understand this more if he was anything more than serviceable before his injury, but he wasn't.

Yea Bierman again showed that he is not a starter ... I saw some improvement in coverage but not enough .... Mass he got a FREE release he was suppose to get that sack ... Mapango played well ... Peters balled out ... I love the win ... But our D needs more work I think they are starting to Gel

He still sucked. I made sure to pay attention to him last night. Still blocked constantly. Terrible pursuit at times. He is actually decent in coverage last night any way. However, he was still on the field nearly every down. I don't get it, but the coaches continue to stick with him.

I am not saying anybody else is much better, but at least give them an opportunity. We know what we have with Kroy.

The only "PBU" that I saw was the RB dropping the ball on the sideline. Kroy did well to stay a step behind him, but the catch was there and unaffected by his coverage. I wasn't even looking for him in the game (I had to watch on TV), but every time I noticed him, it was for being a step slow. Maybe we should move Shembo to start inside and put Bartu in Kroy's spot on passing downs.

Did you see him chase down that RB across field and break up that Pass lol.

The way I saw it Beirmann did force the incompletion. It was a 3rd down play early in the game (1st quarter I think). Beirmann actually picked up & stayed w/ the RB out on a swing route out of the backfield & knocked the ball out of his hands forcing the sucs to punt. Good play but was really the only play I remember him making on a night when our Def had 3 sacks.

If you watch it in slow motion, the RB dropped the ball before Kroy ever made contact. He was beat and not even looking back at the QB. A bit more loft on the pass and 71 would have been flagged for interference. Anther thing that bothered me was that after our first sack of the year, Kroy just walked away. No congratulations for your teammate Kroy?

Nah, the running back clearly dropped that pass... 71 was about 1 step behind him

The vet worship by Mike Smith is almost perverted it's so obsessive.

That sounds like something worth a try given the way Biermann is playing.

Grimes Achilles injury = TATF "Cut him, he relies on his athleticism and he's old" (Returns to pro bowl form)

Peters Achilles injury = TATF " Cut him, he's a big guy and we're stacked at DT anyway, he doesn't fit 3/4. (Balls out)

Biermann Achilles injury = TATF " He'll be fine once he gets his confidence back, he's versatile!!" (Still sucks)

I thought his performance was good. I think Yall just wanna see more of Goodman an Map that yall just think all of Biermann's performances are awful. From my POV he had a lot of hurries and made some good coverages plays, while also making a fire open field tackles. Can't ask for much more from a primary rotation player... Outta 100 his peformance was a solid 71
