If Nobody In Your Front 7 Can Win A One On One Battle, That's Not A Coaching Problem, It's A Gm Problem.

All i keep reading is scheme, scheme, scheme. At the end of the day football often boils down to can you beat the man lined up across from you and after two games nobody has even lucked into a sack.

The obvious lack of talent in our defensive front seven isnt something a scheme can overcome. There needs to be a serious investment made in increasing the talent there. Im not talking about project players like Hageman either, we need players that can step in and contribute something.

It's the rotation. I hate the rotation. They rotate too much and they get caught with wrong personnel groupings in the field far too often. Sometimes the offense needs to see the same personnel for a whole series. They get out coached in that regard. Cincy wound leave certain personnel on the field and do different things with the same group. Sometimes you gotta let players get into rhythm and we fail to do that. You don't rotate qb's because of this. It's the same for dline man as well. If u have a specialty player that's cool but the overall rotation is too much. Dlines have to gel just like olines do.

They believe in keeping their Dlinemen fresh, and their's nothing wrong with that. The problem is that we only have one half-decent edge rusher, and he is never on the field.

That does t matter if you first can't stop the run. That whole fresh lineman thing is overrated. If that's the case just spell your tired lineman. When you rotate every play nobody gets into a rhythm. Football is an emotional game. Sometimes you gotta let the players go out and play. Cincy rotated but nowhere NEAR as much as we do. Too much too often.

I completely agree with this

It's amazing just how lucky TD was at coming in in 2008 and given the 3rd overall pick and choosing Ryan. Ryan's heroics have masked what has been otherwise an overall poor collection of talent, particularly on the lines.

As we saw yesterday, when Ryan is having a bad game, this collection of poor overall talent rears its ugly head. Teams with good or great talent can sometimes pick up its QB (this happens almost every year in the playoffs). Not so with the Falcons. If Ryan is off...we're dead!

Since Ryan how many opportunities did he get to pick in the top ten without having to trade half a draft? Sorry but for the most part the creme rises. Yes there are diamonds in the rough, but that is the point of the saying its rare as ****.

There's not a single impact lineman in the NFL that TD d4afted.

Not a single ******* one. Thats not coaching. Not even other coaches can make them work.

I guess you could say walker, but he was good here too

Hey, your talking about the NFL executive of the year right there ......that ranks right down there with Giving Obama the Peace prize for doing nothing.

Other than our secondary, we need to rebuild the front seven. Which obv won't happen during a season I'm which case quit the hole loyalty to vet Bullsh*t and get Hageman, mop,Mass,Shembo and Goodman out their, they may not be better than Babs, kroy,Osi, but they won't be worse and can only get better. What ever happene to best man on the field??? That's some deff bullish*t when we have to see kroy out their almost all game on D.
