SaintsBountyBowlChamps
He will shut AJ Green down and hold him to 50 yards or less and ZERO TDs. Tru is slowly but surely gaining respect in this league as an elite CB and this Sunday will add another notch to his belt. Can't wait. SiViK_OuTkAsT™
I know its why its considered bold, but it's hard for anyone to shut him down. Same as Calvin or Julio or even Marshall. I hope he does, but Green gets more than 50 yards.
SiViK_OuTkAsT™
Or nah.I think you will be saying that again after Sunday, if not I will give you props.EDIT : Green getting hurt does not count.

Guest King Jigsaw
As Trufant's MB Fahjah, I support this claim.Green - 5 catches, 48 yards, 0TD.

Percentages agree with me.
Guest Negatorris
Nah. Trufant is good but Green is a monster. He will get open because our DL will give Dalton a bunch of time.

falcndave
If left in man coverage, an elite WR will beat an elite CB some of the time. Even #21 couldn't shut down Rice every time...and Rice is not even close to being the physical beast AJ is. Do you think Tru would shut down Julio? If not, there is no reason to think he will shut down AJ. That said, a good team approach to defense could lead to the numbers you suggest. However, it will take a little pressure, a little safety help, stuffing the run, etc. No one man is going to hold AJ to 48 yards imho. Lornoth
Green is somewhat hobbled, so this is probably a lot more probable than people think.
SiViK_OuTkAsT™
Green is somewhat hobbled, so this is probably a lot more probable than people think.Julio put up a 46 yard catch on who was it, Cromartie maybe, someone from the Jets AFTER breaking the screw in his foot. I agree being slightly injured helps but it only takes one slip up from this kind of caliber receiver to bust op's numbers.
Atlfanstckndenver
In my little opinion, I think whether Trufant shuts down Green or not will depend too much on our pass rush for me to be so confident.
Falcanuck
Trufant won't be lined up with Green for the whole game, but when he does he won't give up much.
Atlfanstckndenver
If Trufant can keep up with Brees imagine what he will do to Dalton. Ultimately I don't think your prediction is unlikely, but as good as the stains offense is they don't have anybody playing the outside receiver positions close to the level that Green does. That said Dalton isn't nearly as good as Brees is either. Hence why the majority of your prediction's hope rests in the hands of our front seven. RYNE
Is he supposed to shadow Green the whole game? If so that is going to be fun to watch

Sharpie2.4
If Tru shadows Green all day then I'll put the stat line at 6/8 catches 72 yards 1 TD. Tru comes out with a pass deflection and a pick (preferably for 6 but I'm not gunna call it.) And against an a guy like green those stats are a success. doveboss26
I think he breaks 50 simply for the fact you don't let him beat you deep and you take away everyone else.To a lot of people that's backwards but he's too good, shut down everyone else and just bottle Aj up. Nothing deep.
nolove4thecrook
Not to be a hijacker but on the flipside of the coin last time we played these guys didn't Roddy have 100 plus yards I remember him having a big game catching balls in double coverage

SkyborneC-Falcon4Life
I hope this does happen, but.....................................................NAH, more than likely not going down this Sunday. Tru is a beast but he won't be on A.J. every play and their other wideout Jones and Eifert the tightend are hurt. So A.J. will get more targets this week. I just don't see it happening, but it would be great if it did.
