rollo lawson
I haven't seen anything like that in a while. The team was going just as crazy celebrating with him in the end zone. Joe Hawley fell to his knees like he was praying, lol!! Our rb coach looked like he was telling Mike Smith, "I told ya so" Edited September 11, 2014 by rollo lawson

RYNE
Can they just give him 10 touches a game. It can't be that hard to figure out that he needs the ball on his hands
rollo lawson
Seems like the whole team knows that we have something special in Antone. His role will get expanded even more. We have the best stable of backs in the league, along with the deepest/best receiver core. Koetter is a happy man!!
vel
I still remember this place saying he wasn't getting touches because he couldn't pass block. Always said, you put him in to make plays, not block.
Five_Fifs
It was the perfect storm. Not only was it a big play that gave us our first lead of the game, but TONE, probably the single most rootable guy on our roster. And it was right on the heels of a critical and emotional turnoverIt was truly a beautiful thing to be part of. rollo lawson
I paid no attention to the pass blocking enthusiast. That whole argument was bulll$hit if you ask me. Although he is 30, he has plenty of tread left on his tires.

Black Francis
I still remember this place saying he wasn't getting touches because he couldn't pass block. Always said, you put him in to make plays, not block.I remember starting an Antone Smith thread two years ago asking why we don't give more of our backs touches a la the Saints. Chris Ivory was an example used. Dude parlayed himself with a contract with the Jets. This is what bugs me about the Falcons until this year. They don't use all of their talent at their disposal. I believe that has changed after the last game. Hope so. Needed too.
dirtybird2k5
Antone should only have snaps on passing downs. He's not that good in between the tackles.. so I don't see him getting 10+ touches. It takes a lane to run between the tackles, and if he gets an open lane, best believe he is off to the races. Ask Warrick Dunn,

We never used four RBs. It was two, three max. That's why there was no excuse possible as to why we used our RB with 4.3 speed only as a gunner on punts and why we used our RB with 4.6 speed on kick returns. Truth.
it looked like a college football game. the way all the guys mobbed smith in the endzone. so loud, so awesome. our guys were emotional about it. someone mentioned it on twitter during the game, i think we should start a trophy game for falcons/saints matchups. it would be awesome Edited September 11, 2014 by Truth. primetime
Gotta love it when you knew he knew he had some space and really started putting the jets on and started pumping those legs as fast as possible - pretty sure he hit a nitro button there somewhere as he just moved!
