Really? This Ray Rice thing is far from the only thing he's screwed up!

The decisions that he has made, and the moves that he has made, have, unarguably, increased revenue for the NFL. The Ray Rice thing will pass, and the average NFL fan will have forgotten about with a months time, season's end at most. No matter how much you hate the rules that he has added, the reality is, that they change the game in a way that makes it more attractive to casual viewers. He doesn't need to appeal to us. We'll watch regardless. It's the casual fans, that the rule changes are bringing in, and that's where the money is going to be made.

I think he should definitely be gone, but not for this Ray Rice scandal. The Rice scandal is 100% media outrage, and serving the agendas of certain groups. If he goes due to politically correct reasons we're going to wind up with someone even worse.

Goodell's real issue is how he has continually bastardized the game from what it was under Tagliabue, Rozelle, and its great past. He has been 100% money driven, and everything he has done has been not about the integrity of the game, but about money. His tenure has not been good, and he needs to go. Just not because of this.

The Ray Rice scandal, at least for Goodell's role, is actually a perfect microcosm of his tenure: Complete incompetence, bumbling through the entire process, constant back tracking when people call him out on his ********, and completely arbitrary punishments.

The fans have hated him for years but he's been kept around by the owners since he's good for their business but now he's tainted himself and is drawing bad attention to the league. I don't expect him to be around much longer, mercifully for us all.

It's not okay to hit the QB but he doesn't give **** if men beat the **** out of women. Again. Ray Rice isn't the only one. There are many other cases out off the field issues that Roger Goodell has totally ****** up. That's the main problem. Not the turning the on field game into a p#ssy league.

Greg Hardy was CONVICTED in court of domestic violence in July and nothing has happened to him. The Panthers have let him play until today. No suspension or anything from Goodell. Ray McDonald of the 49ers was arrested before the start of the season for domestic violence. Again, nothing has happened to him. It's more than just screwing up the Ray Rice deal.
