dont get me wrong there are a lot of things to correct im not blind, and im sure many threads will be about what needs to get better but im going to talk about what I like.

matt ryan- looked real sharp no in completions

our rb group looks to have some serious depth. quizz i think is the new snelling and there is nothing wrong with that. Antone smith looked amazing, and freeman was avg 5 yds a carry, and had a nice catch down the field.

konz- I paid real close attention to him and he looked really good and as a whole had the 2nd unit looking good.

lamar holmes- im not a fan but im honest and overall dude looked good tonight.

jake matthews- he has to clean up some stuff but dang that was not holding on the smith td run, it was a very tick tacky call.

shembo- wow he made some good plays and I like his physical nature

Ricardo Allen- this dude will be a baller some day soon mark my words, he is a hitter.

Reedy- Made two really great catches, and showed he can be a good back up at PR an KR

Schumer sp- he has the best hands of the TE crop and a good blocker

back up fb- sorry his name escapes me, but he made some good plays and some good blocks

roddy white- well he is roddy

sam baker- looked good 2012 form

Sean baker- had a couple of flashes

like I said in another thread this is the best depth we had in a long time

The Good News is: We have solid depth pretty much all throughout the team.

The Bad News is: We lack star power at the top, at a few very critical positions.

well I rather had solid back ups bc there are no back ups really anymore, bc every team rotates heavy, we need another pass rusher and I think we will get one after the 2nd FA comes

Agree completely on everything, especially on Shembo and Allen.

I was really big on Allen coming into camp and was always happy with this pick, sky is the limit with him and he impressed me. Same with Shembo. Dude will be getting a lot of reps this season. He was green dotted with the 2nd team.

Allen gets very little press, but has huge upside.

What I liked :

-Clean pocket for the most part

-Matt Ryan was surgical

-Stuck with the run

-Jaquizz made people look silly

-Worrilow rarely misses a tackle

-Mathews looked comfortable

-Run defense was stout

-Corner back is super deep

-Yates looked great in 2 minute drill

-Renfree looked great for someone who hasn't played in a while.

-Devonta was as advertised

-Reedy deserves a roster spot and chance to play some wr 4

-Hawley brilliant at pulling around the guard and tackle

-Antone is a playmaker

-3rd string was resilient

What I disliked:

- Hawley is terrible at run blocking

- Too much pressure up the middle on run plays can't put all blame on hawley

- No pass rush what so ever from first string

- We have ZERO depth at both safety positions

- Still having trouble defending intermediate routes

- Penalties...I know it's preseason.

- Special Teams were sub par

- Yates needs to get ball out faster, seemed more comfortable in no huddle

Pass rush and intermediate route defending is going to make our year difficult. I want to believe but our LB corp can't stop 3rd and 5...Saints are going to kill us over the middle.

Me too, the overall depth and focus was much better , mistakes in the first pre season are expected.

Agree the improvement in our depth ~ all across the board ~ was very apparent. The 2nd and 3rd string OL guys were getting the job done. Both Renfree and Yates looked capable of managing this offense. I especially loved the effort and the hunger the 2nd and 3rd string players showed. They won the game for us and distinguished themselves in the process. What a great infusion of talent we got over the last few months. This was a very good start, and they young players have something to build on.

I was happy top to bottom. First time there wasn't a major drop off in talent. I think we have a good foundation to be a fringe playoff team and downright scary in a year or two after some stars are added and talents develop.

waiting to see if this gets fixed once game planning comes in to play week 3 of preseason.

OP I disagree with the call on the Antone Smith disallowed TD I gotta say for a ref it was an easy call Matthew's opposite got inside leverage on him and Matthew's hooked him with his left arm it was plain to see and being under the microscope and being rook he's going to get that called all day.
