Falconsfan567
So Terry Pendleton, not Fredi, is the one that's airing out the team for being complacent and not paying attention? Why isn't he the manager?
sdogg
I've been saying it for some time, that this team is complacent and has been for many years. Too laid back and no drive to be champions.
Falconsfan567
I mentioned this a couple of times in Atlanta, but I really like Tommy Medica. Would take him on the Braves in a heartbeat.
Falconsfan567
20 hits? The worst offense in baseball in decades has 20 hits tonight?
Falconsfan567
The last time the Padres had 20 hits in a game at home was 2005. I had just graduated high school!
Unknøwn
Fredi said the Braves will evaluate Minor's role on the team. Removing him from the rotation will be discussed and Minor said after the game he understands if they do remove him
ugadawg
"I think everybody is a little upset about the way we played," Gonzalez said. "Tomorrow, I think I'll circle around and talk to some of the guys that we need to talk to. It's hard to get on a team after the kind of series you played against the Dodgers. It was one of the best series we have played. We lost three games, but it was not that bad. The intensity was there. So for you to come in tonight after a game that was not that well played and have a closed-door meeting and yell and scream, I don't think that's the time." Yeah pitching was good and the hitting was awful....and you get swept....But the best series we have played....
Dawggone
I keep trying to watch as I've been a fan for decades now (dang am I that old??) But something about this team is hugely disappointing. I'm not even sure I can put my finger on it. I enjoyed watching the late 80s Braves teams of Paul Runge and Charlie Puleo more. I'm disappointed in myself even feeling this uninterested in this team. Unknøwn
Last night was the low point. Freeman even said he had no answer, said he was getting pitches down the middle but couldn't do anything but roll over them. Last night the Braves just were not there mentally at all. Dawggone
I'm starting to think Chipper was a bigger locker room guy than I had thought. The atmosphere seems different since he left. Could he me but it seemed he had ideas or answers that we can't get from anywhere of late.

Huddy and McCann were somewhat the leaders and now we don't have any kind of leader other than guys that just go out there and do their parts
Falconsfan567
Great gesture by the Padres with the moment of silence.
Falconsfan567
ABC baseball! I love it. Too bad the Braves don't care to do this on a regular basis.

sdogg
Offense is pathetic. And then the pitcher gets a hit
sdogg
This game has the making of a 2-1 loss. I'm so sick of our complacent hitters. There is no way these guys are trying to get better. No way!!!
Falconsfan567
We're walking a career .228/.279.405 hitter who's hitting just .184/.232/.318 this season to load the bases? Ugh!
