Dharma Initiative
Minor has taken a step back so far this year. Sad because he looked ready to explode after that NLDS startAnd if we get to the playoffs we will have a tough decision for the #2 starter
youngbloodz
Great win. Keep it going. With Minor having bad luck and the injuries our starting pitching seems like it's snake bitten
CrimsonFalcon
Well that win last night makes me a 20 game winner...Has anyone noticed you don't see those kind of seasons anymore from pitchers? I know it has a lot to do with "specialists" and whatnot, but I miss those days where you would see 1 or 2 20 game winners on a staff. K26dp
Minor has taken a step back so far this year. Sad because he looked ready to explode after that NLDS startOther than the homers, he seems about the same to me. He's had trouble with HRs periodically in his career, I don't think he's far off. Unknøwn
Yeah he really isnt that far off. Hopefully the All Star break will give him proper time to hit the reset button and come back strong.
Dharma Initiative
Not that hard. Alex Wood. Then #3 is tough. The ideal situation would be Santana buckles down

Dharma Initiative
Yes, that would be ideal. Right now I'd go Teheran/Wood/Minor/Santana.I'd go Teheran/Harang(3rd in quality starts this year)/Minor/Wood as of right now
K26dp
I'd go Teheran/Harang(3rd in quality starts this year)/Minor/Wood as of right nowOK. Harang's perepherials are gawd awful so don't expect too much, but I'm sure this is the rotation Fredi would use now.

Unknøwn
Fredi announced no matter the score Kimbrel will not be available tonight. He's work 3 in a row and 4 of the last 5.

AF89
Hows Bethancourt look behind the plate? I haven't had the chance to watch any of his starts yet.
Dharma Initiative
Chris Johnson is on the verge of taking the lead for batting average on the team. Such a good find and re-signing by Wren

He's had trouble with HRs periodically in his career, I don't think he's far off. You're correct that Minor has always had a problem with homeruns. But another of Minor's problem sis his breaking ball. It's always been his 3rd pitch but it's not getting any better like you would hope and lefties are killing him this year because he really doesn't have an out pitch against them. Falconsfan567
Hear some interesting stats from Jim Powell on the radio a little bit ago. 47% of challenged calls are being overturned. The umpire with the most calls overturned? Angel Hernandez, confirming what everyone already knew, Angel Hernandez is one of the worst umpires in baseball. He and Minor seemed to have some difficulty, but nothing major. Moves well behind the plate.
Dharma Initiative
Just a little disappointing that DeGrom had such a terrible first inning and then we didn't really do anything the rest of the game on offense
Unknøwn
ESPN has an article giving Chris Johnson a lot of credit for the Braves recent turnaround. Johnson is hitting .366 over the last 23 games and when he has an RBI the Braves are 15-2 in those games. CJ has an average of .449 when an AB ends with a pitch in the strike zone over the current 23 game stretch ESPN analyzed.

Hopefully he can keep it up; he's actually been hitting the ball with authority as well.
Unknøwn
BJ also seems to be comfortable for the first time in Atlanta. He's at .270 since becoming the leadoff hitter. That also includes 7 runs and 3 extra base hits.
