riding a horse puts pressure on your foot even at a walk and a horse can spook at anything such as a shadow . I been around horses a lot and if I had a value investment like Julio is I wouldn't want him near a horse yet alone riding

Walking on a seasoned trail horse who has no desire to expend more energy than is necessary is not in the same category as race horses souped up on steroids or Lord knows what else. You are just trying to make a moutain out of a mole hill.

By the same token you can get hit by a car riding a bicycle in a street.

Statistically you're more likely to get injured in an accident driving in Atlanta traffic than getting injured from a riding a walking horse in a tourist destination where the horses are walking the same trails over and over again and are very familiar with the terrain.

**** of a zinger there......(ugh)

Hey, at least you got to post a gif! The sun is out, brah! Once you get done changing the bulbs and wiping the beds, you can go play marbles with your "poker" buddies

It's actually cloudy and cool by me .

Instead of posting on Bills board today you should grab some sun

chase some ambulances around make that lawyer $

Nobody remembers how many fans were saying Rod Coleman had no business riding a jet ski.

Wasn't it put in Big Ben's contract that he couldn't ride a motorcycle after his wreck? (seriously asking, I remember talks but not sure if it actually happened)

What swift is suggesting isn't that far fetched.

I believe that was in Ben's contract.

The idea of minimizing risky off-field behaviors isn't far fetched at all. The idea that a leisurely horseback ride is a risky behavior is very far fetched. If he were in competitions where he was taking horses on jumps or around a track, I'd get it. But putzing around a trail? Its no riskier than stepping out of the shower in the morning.

Even if that injury is specifically associated with said off season activity?

I don't know the validity of what swift posted but it did say horse back riders are among those susceptible to get that specific type of injury.

yes where he seems his foot is okay to be able to go horse back riding

I actually agree with this....the OP is questioning his determination & mindset --> he doesn't have to be on the field practicing hard, but as a "#1 reciever" you should be on the field with your team mates, learning your craft, focusing on what you can do better, making improvements, suggestions, etc....

...Tony Gonzalez mindset from last season is rubbing off on Julio

He went horseback riding months ago. He wasn't at OTA's because his brother was shot.

Geez...I can't see a single person staying at work after a family member is shot. Why in the world are we criticizing Julio for it? This is rediculous. These aren't video game characters, they are real people.

No kidding, this is nothing but fodder for those who are only happy if they can find something, anything, to complain about. Best to stop feeding into it.

Horseback riders get that injury from falling off the horse and getting their foot caught in the stirrup. Assuming Jones can stay on the horse, or doesn't get his foot caught in the stirrup, he's fine horseback riding.

Here we go again with Swift and his off season conspiracy theories. Last year it was trouble between Ryan and TD with contract negotiations. All the sudden they weren't happening and then guess what happened next? .... lol

This stuff becomes retarded at a point. We've passed it.

From the very first post:

The Falcons previously said Jones was ahead of schedule. Jones may not do much before training camp, but he'll be ready in plenty of time for the season opener.

These are OTA's NOT Training Camp so this is much ado about nothing...

Exactly... it was stated months ago Training Camp was the planned date to hopefully get him back. Leave it to Swift to try and be coy and start drama whefe there js none. Hopefully by this point nobody ia dumb enough to fall into it.

As another poster pointed out those injuries tend to occur with more spirited riding... Like they do in equestrian or on the ranch.

Julio is riding a horse walking trails in a pack that's probably not even getting close to a full gallop. It's like someone showing you around the course in a golf cart. You could get injured doing either but the chances are pretty low.

He would be more likely to be injured in a pick up basketball game.
