Alright, heres one for everyone to enjoy...

Who wins the #4 WR job? Devin Hester or Darius Johnson?

Hester, the all pro returner and speedster can stretch the field and be used in gimmicks/screens. My biggest reason to get him on the field is purely just to run deep and keep the D honest. It will lead to SO many deep Julio bombs this year.

but! He is not a natural WR and doesn't possess polished skills for the position.

Darius Johnson, great story last year making the team and making some nice catches down the stretch, young, quick hungry and naturally talented. Not experienced. More of a quick in n' out slot receiver.

Vote away!!

Hester has the speed

Davis has the size

Johnson has the hands.

I am counting on Johnson. He just looks ridiculously fluid when catching the ball, and I really like him in the slot. But #4 and #5 WR positions are probably gonna play way more this year compared to prior years due to the lack of a TE threat.

Dom Davis is a QB

DREW Davis is a WR

Actually it was Drew Davis that made the team at week 1 #4 Cone #5 D Davis

Johnson made the practice squad and did not get activated to the 53 until after JJ went on IR week 6/7

Davis 12 catches 216 yds 2 TDs

Johnson 22 catches 210 yds 1 TD

looks like 1 is a short catch guy and the other is a deep catch guy

I think Hester finished 3rd in receiving on this team

actually NFL.com says as a WR ---------- not as PR/KR

Hester had ZERO receptions 2013 played in all 16 games --- must be all PR/KR

and was 5th on his team in 2012

09 was his most productive year 57 catches for 757 yds

ZERO catches for TDs in his career

2014 will b his 9th season -----about the same as Roddy but of course he is mainly PR/KR

Hey Just copying what I see At NFL.com stats

ADDED IN ERROR --I WAS READING RUSH TDS NOT REC TDs

Hester will be our #3 WR....we didnt pay him 3mil a year to return punts...the kickoff has been eliminated from the nfl.

He is a huge upgrade over harry douglas.....HD will be fighting to stay on the team this year...we would save almost 2 mil in cap space and 3.5 next year if we get rid of HD.....2 tds in 5 full season is flat out not getting it done.

Julio, Roddy, Hester, Davis, Johnson

davis had 12 catches for 2 tds

HD had 85 catches for 2 tds

its time to move on

hester has 14 career receiving tds....5 kick return tds...13 punt return tds

http://www.nfl.com/p...897/careerstats

thats a total of 32 tds in 8 full years although he played corner in his rookie year

hd has 2 total tds in 5 full years

Stop. He's not a receiver

He's a receiver. Don't know why you would think he's not. He will be used as a speciality guy but he could be our slot guy.

But Davis or Johnson need to be the guy. Both of these guys could be our 3rd and 4th option with HD gone.

Only way I see Hester eclipsing DJ for the #4 spot (or even HD for the #3 as some have asserted in this topic) is if the change of scenery and no longer: 1) absolutely hating his coaching staff, and 2) being subjected to Cutler's bullish*t, will really make a huge difference and push him to playing like he wants it and/or has something to prove.

But even if that is the case, I still don't see him being anything more than a specialist and convenient veteran insurance.

there are only so many spots on the team...HD makes 3.6 mil and can't produce enough this team needs playmakers to get back into the playoffs. not guys who can't score tds....being a good guy can only get you so far in this league....hester playing in a dome instead of soldier field is gonna be crazy....especially with julio and roddy on the field with him.

douglas got his chance last season to show us what he can do.....he racked up some catches, 85 and some yards, 1067, but ony 2 tds. I like HD as a person and he played hard for the falcons but he is just not worth his contract at this point. drew davis had 12 catches for the same amount of tds.....looks like davis needs more of chance to see what he can do

I think Johnson will be the fourth, but Hester will have designed packages in our offense. I really like what Darius Johnson was able to do last year when all those WR's went down, could develop nicely into a solid slot WR for us.

dont forget the fact that he will be playing in a dome instead of outside in cold chicago

I had typos. I was saying I think Hester finishes 3rd in receiving on our team.

We didn't pay him $3 million per season just to return kicks and punts. If he can catch 2 touchdowns in a seasom then he's already more valuable than HD

Hester reminds me of Dante Hall good returner but brings nothing else to a team and he's not a wr. I would use johnson until we reach the red zone and then

bring in a bigger body wr like davis.

hall did have 9 career tds as a wr......4 times as many as our 3rd wr has....hall would be an upgrade as well

why wait to bring in davis in the red zone when he makes all the long catches? he had a 59 yards catch, a 36 yard catch, and a 20 and 24 yarder.....he makes big plays. the way to use him is to get him the ball and let him make plays for your team
