Thiccolas Cage
Just drawing media attention. Consider the franchises play for with the exception of Rivers and Newton, but Newton draws hype and attention for the type of QB he is and I do not think the pundits are ready to pull the plug on Rivers.I mean look at the teams: Broncos, Patriots, Saints, Cowboys, 9ers, Steelers. These teams have some of the most bangwagonass fan bases in the world. Of course those guys would be on the list.

GoFalcons22
I think Romo is one of the 10 best QBs in the league.Certainly better than Kaepernick or Newton. The dude coughs up pick sixes in important games on a yearly basis. I'm fine if the list doesn't have Matt in there. It's an opinion piece. But Tony Romo? If you polled people that loved Tony Romo, you would find more Giants fans, Redskins fans, and Eagles fans love him more than Cowboy fans do. The dude has an NFL arm, but a high school football IQ. AtlantaFanatic
This is like that 'Ryan is better than Brees' thread. Anyone who watches these guys play every day would rank Ryan in the top 10 (especially over Kaep and Cam). It's just when you look at last years stats and the amount of games their TEAMS won, it makes them look better on paper. I don't need a magazine to validate my opinion that we have one of the best 10 QB's in the NFL on our team.

HASHBROWN3
10. Ben RoethlisbergerBig Ben is defined by winningStats have never defined Big Ben. He’s only thrown for more than 30 touchdowns in a season on one occasion, while eclipsing the 4,000-yard mark three times. Both are fairly pedestrian benchmarks in today’s NFL. But Roethlisberger isn’t about numbers. He’s about making plays, especially in key situations. And few quarterbacks are better at those moments than the SteelersQB. In a big game, down by four with two minutes to play, Big Ben is great to have under center.9. Philip RiversRivers has the swagger of a great QBThe thing that makes some people despise the Chargers quarterback is exactly what makes him so good – his moxie. Rivers has a swagger about him that is crucial to finding success has a signal caller. He isn’t fazed by any situation or opposing player, the rare breed who seems to elevate his game when things get tense. And now that he has Mike McCoy as his head coach, who helped Rivers right the ship again in 2013 with a rebound season, one of the NFL’s best gunslingers is back at the top of his game.8. Cam NewtonCam is flying high in CarolinaAs the NFL moves more and more toward dual-threat quarterbacks, Newton is one of the ideal options to play that brand of football. He has the big arm needed to excel in the passing game, as well as the feet to make plays and drive defenses crazy. But perhaps more importantly, he has the size (6-foot-6, 260 pounds) to withstand the punishment that’s going to come from playing that brand of football. Can running QBs last in the NFL? That questions doesn’t apply to Newton as much as some others.7. Colin KaepernickKaepernick is the ultimate dual threatWhile the body of work is perhaps small, it’s hard to argue with Kaepernick’s success. In only 23 career starts, he’s already posted 17 victories (a .739 winning percentage), reached two NFC Championship Games and played in a Super Bowl. That’s a pretty darn impressive résumé. And it speaks volumes about his abilities at the quarterback position. The Niners QB can make dazzling plays with both his arm and his feet, throwing lasers through a defense one play and then shredding them with mesmerizing scramble on the next.6. Tony RomoRomo is unbelievably underappreciatedQuarterbacks tend to get too much credit when their team wins, which is offset by the fact that they get too much blame when their squad falls short. Romo is saddled with way too much of the latter, as every misstep the Cowboys make falls on the quarterback’s shoulders. It’s to the point where it seems as though Dallas fans won’t appreciate what they have until Romo is gone. But he’s a very, very good QB. The fact that he’s been able to keep the Cowboys competitive, despite all of the dysfunction in Big D, gets overlooked too often.5. Andrew LuckLuck is the NFL’s best young QBBack-to-back 11-5 seasons in Indianapolis show just how good this young quarterback is at leading a team. Throw in all of the adversity that the Colts have faced during that time (the departure of Peyton Manning, Chuck Pagano’s illness, Reggie Wayne’s torn ACL, etc.) and Luck’s early career is even more impressive. Ask any general manager who they would take right now to be their quarterback for the next five years and they’ll say Luck; if they don’t, they should be fired.4. Drew BreesBrees has shattered mythsBrees will forever be remembered as a guy who shattered two NFL myths – that a 6-foot tall quarterback can’t win at the pro level and that the Saints are doomed to failure season after season. Breaking passing record after passing record, while bringing a Super Bowl championship to New Orleans, blew those two theories out of the water. And at the age of 35, Brees doesn’t seem to be slowing down. He remains one of the game’s most-dangerous passers, making the Saints a dangerous team to face on any given week.3. Aaron RodgersRodgers proved his worth in 2013Without Rodgers in the lineup last season, the Packers struggled to keep their head above water. Then, without a moment to spare, their starting QB returned to lead them to a division title in dramatic fashion. His game-winning TD pass against the Bears in the clincher epitomizes what he brings to the field in Green Bay. Rodgers is a playmaker, a leader and just enough of a gambler to make Mike McCarthy’s offense dangerous. And most of all, he’s a winner, which is what gets him near the top of this list.2. Tom BradyBrady shows no signs of slowing downBill Belichick may think Brady’s skills are diminishing, causing him to reach for a “quarterback of the future” in the second round of the draft, but that certainly wasn’t evident last season. Despite losing almost all of his weapons from a year before, the Patriots quarterback once again posted great numbers, leading New England to a 12-4 record, another AFC East title and a trip to the AFC Championship Game. It was a command performance, perhaps the best of Brady’s Hall of Fame career.1. Peyton ManningManning continues to find ways to winIn an era when quarterbacks are trying to win games with their rocket arms and elusive feet, Manning takes a different approach; he beats people with his mind. Nobody is better at throwing the football to the right place, at the right time in the perfect spot than the Broncos quarterback. And last season, he proved it, breaking the NFL’s single-season records for passing yards and passing touchdowns, while leading Denver to the most points in league history. Nobody does it better than Manning. Still.LOL here we go again.

I get what the narrative is....and I think it short changes Romo quite a bit. If anything, Romo is the most underrated QB in the league at this point.
