Knight of God
My favorite defensive player at Bama for a while has been CJ Mosely. I never brought him up because I didn't see him as a clear need. Thing is I hated about him, was he sometimes seemed to play soft and players around him were looking to him. Spruill plays like a man who wants it all badly. He's not coming heret o just win baby, he's coming here to take some guys down! I love his desire.http://youtu.be/zAW4AsGN8gk

TheFatboi
Exactly. I'm really liking what the Falcons are doing. Shembo and Spruill both look like they could fit well behind the type of defensive line that we have assembled.Doesn't matter what we do at this point. I honestly think this is by far the very best offseason in a long long time. Through the front office additions, coaching changes, free agent signings, and now the draft. It definitely is. I'm actually feeling good about a falcons draft since ever. Lol

TheFatboi
Same here bro.Long time coming. With a well built dline line these moves will look like Seahawk moves down the line. I hope we pick up McCullers just for a beef kicker on the dline.
youngbloodz
This might be the best Falcons draft ever. On paper anyway
TheFatboi
Same here bro. We've never seen how our lb's work with lineman not touching them. Even Lofton got bottled up. Worrilow may actually look like Zach Thomas this season. This might be the best Falcons draft ever. On paper anywayI agree
THE ICEMAN
Hey man I'm definitely with you on that one!But now YOU don't forget about Goodman either! Added 15 pounds muscle and already seemed like a good run stopper! But yeah man I agree with you, I'm excited about what the Falcons are doing!Yea I'd love to see Goodman be productive as wellIts really on Hageman in my opinion he has top 10 talent but was very inconsistent and didn't have good stamina( and we all saw how that hurt Homles last year) if he's as disruptive as he can be the. We got a steal and just maybe the DROY but I will say I was in favor of Ealy as he has that work ethic and Hageman may not.Peters has always played out of psotion when Nolan came here he was forced to play the NT to much and was able to play the 3 tec in 4-3 sets as that was BabsBut now with Soliai I can see Nolan moving not only Hageman but peters as well all over the line in both 3-4 and 4-3. Be interested to see if Hageman gets so looks as a rush LBer in passing downs to help get Babs and Jackson on the feild as there decent rushers. g-dawg
Please don't tell me you're complaining as well.Mayock said at this point in the draft, the difference between now and udfa are so minimal that all it takes is one or more teams to project the guy higher.Did you see the Saints picked a LB right after us? It's very possible they were about to pick himit has more to do with Dimitroff's past history in later rounds than anything else - I really don't care if we take "no-name" players - as long as we convert on some of them and hit singles w/ the occassional home run.In rounds 4-7, you are looking for diamonds in the rough....Maybe Marcus Spruill is that player - but Dimitroff has not hit on these picks very often. Tuggle'2
Can we just trade Spoon to Miami for Jordan?Spoons days are numbered now.

He has incredible explosion. If the dline plays to their abilities this season he will come up big in situational football.

It's great that he already has a little connection with Coach Cox from the Senior Bowl and seeing how passionate he was last night when he got drafted makes me like him a lot more. Would love to see us get Zach Kerr to backup Soliai at NT.

If the dline plays to their abilities this season he will come up big in situational football.the vid looked good but everybody in the draft has good highlight video. agree, Spruill looks like his forte is as a run stopper - he will be a special teamer only for rook year - most likely. falconsd56
Spoons days are numbered now.Possibly but I would not start filling out depth charts with out him.... He has to stay healthy...if he does that then I think he sticks around a long time.... With the way the new defensive front is shaping up he's going to have the most freedom to roam around that he is ever had here
Tuggle'2
Spoon may have an awesome season of this dline keeps blocks of him and he stays healthy. It's the staying healthy part along with the possible greed why I think he's gone.

PADirtyBird
I have the unfortunate distinction of being a diehard Syracuse basketball and football fan. The football program is at least back to being average, as I watch every game on Saturdays. This guy is a beast, he has been their best defensive player since arguably his freshmen year. Now whether or not he just looks great because he wasn't surrounded with excellent talent is a possibility. But I can honestly say this is the best pick they've made if you don't count the first two rounds.

We don't watch a lot of Syracuse football down here in the dirty South.
Drunken Minotaur Zebra
But also a better looking blitzer than Lofton. I'm not just saying that cause it's Lofton. This dude looks more fierce at rushing the QB.Agreed fully
