Quote: Dee Ford - LB - Chiefs

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Falcons tried to trade back into the first round to draft Auburn OLB Dee Ford before he was selected by the Chiefs at No. 23.

GM Thomas Dimitroff desperately wants to upgrade his pass rush, but the cost of moving into the early 20s would have been mountainous. Defensive lineman was clearly Dimitroff's day-one preference, but he had to settle for OT Jake Matthews after Jadeveon Clowney and Khalil Mack came off the board in the first five picks.

for all the hype about more trades cause of more time before draft, it really didnt happen.

**** GOODELL

They do that every season, so you quit paying attention to it, until last seasons draft, when there were 5 trades in the 1st round alone, and it got everyone believing it would continue through this draft.
