Robb4242 2,701
Useless...Do you think we didn't try to trade up with Cleveland at 4? That was the big rumor, but Cleveland knew they could get who they wanted below up & they could get a lot more for a team moving up from 9 to 4 than they could 6 to 4. Plus, much better pass rushers left at the top of the 2nd than there are O-linemen left. 2 biggest needs were O-line & pass rusher, we are sitting with the best opportunity to fill both of those spots right now. atlGM 1,142
Not soo fast . We wouldn't have been able to get a starting caliber tackle at all selling away our 2nd
falconstwopercentsized 3,291
Great pass rushers come from the fourth round and later anyway

LouDog. 2,529
It kills me how people just assume we could have picked whoever we wanted and chose not too. Other teams have a say in trading back as well

Lornoth 12,228
Plus, much better pass rushers left at the top of the 2nd than there are O-linemen left. Morgan Moses is still on the board, he would have helped our O-Line at RT almost as much as Matthews will rookie year, possibly going forward. Matthews only really pulls ahead once he's switched to LT.Meanwhile there's a boatload of mediocrity left at passrusher.
tldr 404
After Jags picked Bortles, TD should have tried to trade with Cleveland. Bills gave up their 9th + 2015 1st and 5th. We probably could have traded our 6th + 2015 2nd and 5th and grabbed Mack.

Trading up for Ha Ha?

Butcher of Bankhead 188
There are good O-Linemen and Passrushers left in the 2nd round. If we had moved up and got Mack, we could still grab Moses, Bitonio, or Cyrus from Bamaeither way we're gonna improve our OL and DL with this draft
Lornoth 12,228
No comparison between Matthews and Moses. As a RT? You don't need a world-beater, which no OT will likely be until year 2 or 3 anyway.
Molson 267
Christ OP is stupid. It's almost as if he thinks the draft is over or something.
bigbabygrady 394
the hole at FS has been a gaping wound since Decoud decided to play his way off the roster. Still, the lack of action and attention by Dimitroff to addressing our safety situation after cutting Decoud has mystified me for quite some time. and if he was looking to this draft to solve the problem, surely he could see that there was a good chance that the 3 or 4 safeties who can cover receivers and TEs would be gone before we got a shot at them with our 2nd round pick. Ryan was on life support all 16 games...if you didn't see this pick coming...I'm confused as to what game you were watching
THE ICEMAN 626
What did we need to trade it for?Our biggest need is clearly pass rusher not safety

There are at least 3 quality pass rushers queued up for the top half of the 2nd round
