You mean kind of like those college kids every year that hardly ever had any playing time to show that they can at least play in the NFL? You know, the same ones who haven't even played a preseason game yet? Yeah stupid to spend a draft pick on any of them O_o

The Pats backups have never really panned out when they went to other places.

Kind of reminds me of those many backup Eagles QBs like Kevin Kolb, Ty Detmer, and a couple of others that were over-hyped which they traded for high round picks and they bombed on those teams that traded for them.

There is no deal between the Patriots and the Texans for Ryan Mallett. But the interest from Houston and Bill O’Brien is real. #Staytuned

Thats from Ian Rapoport a few minutes ago. Maybe this is still a smokescreen?

why I said another thread this is draft day,you cannot believe anything anyone says

Disinformation is out in full force today

I loved the Matt Cassell collapse. This dude seems worse than Cassell. He also has zero regular season experience and they are trading for him.

Yeah, that was classic. What I really enjoyed about that though was watching all the pundits who were raving about him in the preseason have to go back and eat their words.

Mallet had the STRONGEST arm but not the BEST. Dude has no touch and gets anxiety even when the defense pretends to blitz. Plus he has TERRIBLE footwork. TERRIBLE!!! No rhythm as a QB which is why his accuracy is bad. Dude is high-maintenance and even if you give him the perfect O-line he would put up mediocre stats.

Texans just can't be serious can they?

Whats their QB situation look like if this goes through?

Keenum and Mallet? Talk about another lost season....

Just draft Manziel and be done with it.

Do you think Manziel is ready to step in and play day one and compete for a playoff spot? If not how long do you think it will be before he is ready?

If Tebow was a mediocre passer, instead of a terrible one, he would have taken his job. Tebow had one very bad game, which cost him the job. And now everyone is saying "It is hard to look good in preseason" LMAO ********.

I think he could be. And he could be a star.

Can we say the same for any of the others?

Not to mention manziel will make 5x as much money for them as anyone else
