How Big Is The Fall-Off

For the sake of discussion, lets say we dont trade up and Clowney, Mack and Robinson are off the board. Which of these scenarios would be best for us?

A. Barr in the 1st and JaWuan James/Morgan Moses in the 2nd

B. Matthews/Lewan in the 1st and Attouchu in the 2nd?

Is the drop-off between Matthews/Lewan and JuWaun James greater than the drop-off between Barr and Attouchu?

We must also factor in a players ceiling. For example, I see Barr as having a higher ceiling than Attouchu because of his elite athleticism and still being new to the position (Think Ziggy Ansah).

If we could trade down and get Lewan and get an additional 2nd or 3rd I'd do that in a heartbeat. We could then get a NT and DE and our dline would be complete along with our Oline.

The rest of our picks could be BPA after we get a safety.

Remember one thing guys. The only reason JuWaun James is a 2nd Rounder instead of a 1st is because he played every snap of his collegiate career at RT, the same position he would be playing for us. He was arguably as dominant a blocker as Matthews/Lewan, but not on the premium side of the line.

Barr to Attouchu is not a big drop

Matthews/Lewan to JaWuan James/Morgan Moses is a big drop because you're going from franchise OT that can play either side to RT only with questionable foot speed.

So basically what I said in another thread? Matthews/Lewan make more sense for the future because he will end up being our Franchise LT when we end the Sam Baker Era?

Moses, Richardson, Bitino and Jawuan are all pretty raw but have ELITE upside, athleticism and measurables. They have to be coached up which is always tricky but all have the potential to become top NFL tackles. Will they? They could if they land with the right coach and QB.
