I know some won't like it because I didn't draft 10 o linemen, but I I did draft 3 d linemen. Nolan could turn this talent along with our existing players into a dominant defense.

This draft immediately puts us in the upper echelon of talent. When I think of teams we trail:

I think of the DL and edge rushers in SEA, SF

The LB's in Carolina

Jimmy Graham in NO

This draft changes that paradigm. No one has our receivers, our QB is better than all but NO and GB!

I don't watch much college stuff, so I don't how you would consider the late round picks. Here it is though.

Its a great tool to have fun with but their draft boards are way off from consensus...and nobody wants to alter 300 players to the correct rankings( premium mship)...

So even tho I play them I still feel unsatisfied afterwards because there's always something dead wrong about it

No FS?

This could never happen.

With the Optimum Scouting Board you an get Terrence Brooks as a free agent - he's something like #285 on their board. You can also pick up Marcus Martin in the 7th - he's right around #213. And Morgan Moses at #99 can be had at the top of the third.

Dicking around on the Fanspeak simulator is fun, but don't expect any results that approach reality.

I just did this one right now, using Walter Football's rankings (which I felt were the most realistic of the three choices).

I took a "wait and see" approach at OT, opting to go for the BPA at a position of need each pick instead. I also tried to draft players I think TD/Pioli would be interested in, or that we've been linked to. I don't know how realistic this is (Ellis will almost certainly be gone before the end of the 4th Round), but it's not crazy unrealistic I suppose.

In this scenario, you'd just throw the RT competition open to Johnson, Schraeder, Holmes, Leno, and Carimi and let the best man win. Or sign Clabo, Stewart, or Winston as a short-term fix while you let Leno develop.

1st Round (6) - DE Jadeveon Clowney, South Carolina

2nd Round (37) - S Jimmie Ward, Northern Illinois

3rd Round (68) - TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Washington

4th Round (103) - RB Charles Sims, West Virginia

4th Round-Comp. (139) - DT Justin Ellis, Louisiana Tech

5th Round (147) - OT Charles Leno, Boise State

6th Round (182) - ILB Khairi Fortt, Cal

7th Round (220) - CB Andre Hal, Vanderbilt

7th Round-Comp (253) - TE Joe Jon Duncan, Dixie State

7th Round-Comp. (255) - FB J.C. Copeland, LSU

The more I run these simulations, the more I think that Jimmie Ward is going to be the pick at #37 if he's there. I also think we'd be crazy to pass on ASF or Niklas if either one is there at #68.

I tried with the Walter player list and Clowney was gone, but Mack and Robinson were still around.

I've found the Fanspeak simulator just loves giving QBs to the teams in the Top 5 no matter what. You can refresh the page if you think the Top 5 is selected poorly and it will try again.

But overall I think WF (of the 3 available options) has a much better feel of where the players will be drafted Rounds 1-7.
