Romfal

2014 Dfa Draft Game

467 posts in this topic

Romfal, this is the reason I did the UDFA thing when I did? Houston was the last pick, sometime around 9 PM last night. So I thought the 3 hour period had gone and so I started my UDFA signings.

Are we going to wait for the rest of the picks first? Just wanting to know so I can keep track

I'd like to have the draft finished first, that is what I meant by final pick. Only Dallas left so I hope Falchemist picks soon.

Sorry I was away for most of yesterday guys. Seems Falchemist gave up on the game. Starting at 10AM the 3 hours will go in effect. Everyone can pick starting at 1PM. If you already posted your UDFA's please re-list them.

A bit about my guys

Roosevelt Nix, DL (5-foot-11 1/4, 248) — Nix ran the 40 in 4.79 seconds on both attempts. He had a 28-inch vertical and 9-foot-2 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.39 seconds and the three-cone drill in a remarkable time of 6.90 seconds. He performed 22 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Nix is a really good football player — he is the first player in Kent State history and fifth player in MAC history to earn first-team all-conference honors in four seasons — and a team will have to find a position for him. Some people think Nix might be a fullback, others think he might be a linebacker. At 248 pounds, he won’t be a defensive lineman in the NFL, but he has tremendous ability and a team will have to find a position for him to play. He is likely a priority free-agent pickup following the draft.

  • 12. SS : L.J. McCray, Catawba 6' 0" 215

McCray is an excellent tackler who wraps up ball carriers and rarely misses a tackle. He can be a liability in the passing because of his propensity to the run. Can cover but seems to fall for the play action occasionally losing sight of his coverage. He has the tools and natural ability to succeed at the next level if given the opportunity.

Zachary ?Zach? Moore was a late bloomer in high school and drew attention from Big Ten teams, but he struggled to qualify and wasn?t eligible for the Division-I level, enrolling at Division-II Concordia-St. Paul (MN). He spent his true freshman season as a back-up before starting in 2010 and leading the team in tackles for loss (11.5) and sacks (10.0). Moore failed a course and was ruled ineligible for the 2011 season, but he worked on the scout team and continued his on-field development. He had his best statistical season in 2012 as a junior with 21.0 tackles for loss and 14.0 sacks, earning Division-II All-American honors, and although his stats in 2013 weren?t as impressive as the year prior, he again earned All-American status as a senior. Moore, who has a four-year old daughter, has NFL size and length with rangy athleticism and movement skills to make plays in the backfield and away from the line of scrimmage. He tends to think too much and needs to improve his awareness and vision before he?s ready for a contributing NFL role. Moore is an easy player to root for, never allowing himself to lose sight of his goals and battling back from adversity. Like most Division-II prospects, he still has room to develop fundamentally and mentally, but the tools and attitude lead you to believe he has a positive football future ahead of him ? draftable and would be the first player from Concordia (MN) to be selected in the NFL Draft.

Dang Romfal! I didn't think Zach Moore was on anyone's radar.

I think I had Moore on one of my lists I sent Romfal, he just wasnt my first choice.

The guy has heart, but lacks some instincts due to his inexperience. Plus Moore is 24, which reduces his time to learn.
