THE ICEMAN
The easy pick would be OL but at the same time who worth the gamble besides maybe Alex mack? Remember as bad as Homles and Konz were there only 24 years old they have a lot of room to grow and we could ver easily select a tackle at 6.Then on defense you have some solid vets like peppers or Allen( who's still really good but doesn't fit our d now)I think the only glaring need is at FS but again our best bet may be to wait and pick some one up in the draft.Maybe TE but there isn't anyone who really jumps out as a great signing. And again we could probably find a great pick in the 2nd or 3rd maybe even the 4th.I actually think as far as impact I think there is still some guys who could help in the slot and maybe another corner like DRC but again not sure TD would throw big money at CB after what Robinson turned out to be but I'd say DRC is quite a bit better. So who is your best value signing left? I'd probably say DRC him and trufant would be one of the best tandems in the league plus Alford in the nickle and maybe playing a little FS to. Having two corners who can press and be ok when left in man coverage would really open up the play book for nolan to get creative with his Blitz's if we struggle again this year to get pressure. We have 13 mil and Roddy is expected to sign an extension Some time this off season and Blalock could probably be restructured if needed(not likely) so I think we could still spend big money on a player if he was a great fit and still fill other needs.I wouldn't be that shocked if we're not all that active the rest of free agency because I think we have like 10 or 11 draft picks this draft so there is still plenty of value to be had there. I didn't really think much of 6-7 rounders but after what we saw out of Bartu and Worrilow there is value there if you make the right pick. We have basically none. We have had scrubs backing up our starters for years.
Lornoth
Wouldn't say no to a decent FS, TE, or cheap CB for our dime packages. I don't think there's any RT's that are worth it at this point; just wait for the 2'nd round of the draft for that one. However as my knowledge of FA's at this stage is somewhat thin i don't have many specifics. Owen Daniels might be worth a look for a cheap TE though. hjerry
My current interests are: Chris Clemons FS, Carlos Rogers CB, Willie Colon or Uche Nwaneri OL, Fernando Velasco OC, Jacoby Ford WR/KR, Dion Jordan OLB Trade, Zach Miller TE possible cut, and Vince Wilfork DT possible cut
atlGM
It should and I think has to be either a starting caliber safety or RT

Tuggle'2
In free agency who at RT?I'd rather have Homles there or Mathews/Robinson than who we coukd sign nowThey'll be more FAs available between now and camp. As soon as the draft goes by they'll be a river of cap casualties. I expect they'll be a tackle involved in that. I don't trust any of those guys yet. Sign a cheap vet as depth if we actually do draft Mat/Rob. I don't want to see injuries destroy the team again because we don't have proper depth. Donald Penn, Zach Strief, Eric Winston, J'Marcus Webb, Marshall Newhouse, Bruce Campbell, and I'm not so sure Gabe Carimi doesn't do well. He has yet to play a healthy season.Would not take Matthews in the first. 2nd round talent, 1st round pedigree. HUGE fan of the Matthews family though. Robinson had some awesome numbers, but I am calling him a project...mainly because he was mainly a run blocker.
THE ICEMAN
The reason that I listed Uche Nwaneri and Willie Colon as OL, instead of OG, is b/c I remember reading an article that said that Tice like Colon, and believed that he could play either RG or RT.I'm not against adding a OLmen but at the same time from the "falcons" stand point I would think they still think highly of Konz and Homles.I actually think if we add anyone threw free agency is will be a veteran backup.I think they really wanted Mike Johnson to win that RT spot last year as they didn't think Homles was quite there yet. And well it looks like they were right problem was Johnson got injured. I think Johnson while not near a Pro bowl could have been serviceable and get us by until we could fill that role in the draft.Don't forget they also have crimi(however its spelled) to go along with Homles/Johnson and Baker then inside they have Hawley and Konz who both can play center or Guard.I think we could take a tackle or pass on one. But I'd be shocked if they look for a starter in free agency. If Asamoah not great but just good kind of like Blalock then its very easy to help Homles at RT if he needs it we were so bad last year that the TEs and RBs couldn't help everybody. Now if we were talking about say picking up a yoinfg in his prime tackle like Albert's or Monroe then yea I'd easily take either of them over Homles who while could be much improved this year may need one more year before stepping in at RT or LT.I think Robinson would be a great pick at 6 because he's a mauler and kind of fits that role of a RT as were Mathews is a LT and should be there and i m not sure Baker could slide to RT and a still be as effective if healthy. He just needs to polish his game a little and get in a little better shape.

The Falchemist
The gargantuan hole we have at safety, in both starter and depth, is looking pretty dire right now.If we could only make ONE more signing, that's what I'd go for. Hands down.

raysnill1
I can't wait til the draft & then the camp starts. I swear this board has some of the most ridiculous posts I'm seen in a while. the only position we don't have sewn up nicely is FS. RG has been a problem for a couple of seasons but Asamoah brings some talent at that spot and if Hawley continues to play like he did down the stretch & Baker continues his streak of playing solid in even years, we're good. Carimi is in year 2 coming off an injury that takes a couple of years to fully recover from so we may have stumbled upon a gem. if not then we can cut him loose but we still have some guys that can be groomed into competent linemen

Every fan of this team has the right and a reason to question our line. Adding a vet backup for competition is a good thing. I mean seriously if I did in fact read what you said right , you're correct about one thing. Ridiculous posts.

Ryan has been beaten up for far to long. Sorry but some of us actually want a proper Oline that gives Ryan time to make reads. Enough of this 2 second crap. He is great at it but what if he had Brady time etc... People asking for and wanting more Oline help is certainly not ridiculous.
