JuzFootball
There's a worst case scenario that nobody's talking about. What if Mack, Robinson, and Matthews are gone, and nobody wants to trade?

Romfal
for me it would beScenario 5: Trade back! Falcons get #10, #45 overall pick; Lions get #6 overall pickRd 1, alt pick: Calvin Pryor, Louisville Rd 2, alt pick: Morgan Moses, UVARd 2, pick #45: Jeremiah Attaochu, GTyou just can't beat having an extra second rounder in this draft considering we have 4 needs and 3 picks in the top 3 rounds right now.Alternatively I'd like to see a TE sprinkled in your scenarios Edited March 15, 2014 by Romfal

JuzFootball
if those guys are gone there will be only one QB taken in the top 5, so there should be some interest in the pick for the QB or sammy watkins.Teams know that Atlanta isn't likely to pick a QB or WR, so they may call our bluff and force us to reach for OT or defense. Then they can trade up to #7 to have the same choices of QBs and Sammy.

rugger8
teams have no interest in 'calling our bluff' they are trying to move up and take their guy, before the teams behind us get them.Indeed. The only one who might call our bluff would be Tampa, the pick right behind us.
JuzFootball
It's going to be a fun draft night. I can't wait. I think Atlanta has to trade up for Clowney, Mack, or Robinson, or take Matthews at #6, or trade back for Taylor Lewan, Zack Martin, Anthony Barr, Eric Ebron, or HaHa Clinton-Dix. JuzFootball
Surprised you put Ebron in this listBPA all the way except QB, WR, CB. A lot of analysts have Ebron in the top 10. TG's not coming back.
#1ATLFALCONSFAN
BPA all the way except QB, WR, CB. A lot of analysts have Ebron in the top 10. TG's not coming back.Of course TG is not coming back, but I'm saying I think there are more pressing needs on the team than TE (OT, OLB, FS). I also don't think there's any way the Falcons trade up in this year's draft.

I also don't think there's any way the Falcons trade up in this year's draft.I agree on the needs, but they don't always align with the best players. Ebron is the only TE to consider. It's not a wasted pick to get a good player. It's only a wasted pick to get a bust. That usually happens when passing over the better player to reach for a need. In this years case, the Falcons are in prime position at six to get the BPA while also filling a need. I am not suggesting that Ebron would be a waste at all. jazzyburrell
Best Scenario: 1st Mack2nd Hageman3rd AttouchuHolmes comes to camp in shape and plays EVERY down like he did in Buffalo (watch that tape against the 2nd best pass rush in the league)

Maybe not.IMO, it's a mistake to bank on team liking the QBs available enough to trade up for them. And it wouldn't surprise me one bit if teams like the physical freak Mike Evans more than Sammy Watkins. All in all, I find it highly unlikely someone is going to trade up for Watkins in what may be the deepest WR class we've seen in years. Tuitt may be available in the second though.
