MSalmon
Lol I love the cryptic talk. Fact is even though we run a multiple front under Nolan, he prefers a lot of 34 personnel that can play in 4 man alignments as well. You can look at his past rosters and see that. Some of these guys are right in that we rarely run a double bubble 34 but most teams don't. I'd venture to say every team runs different fronts at timeNolan, however has never run a base 43 under. That's a Pete Carroll/ Gus bradly take on mixing 34 elements with kiffens Tampa 2 Plenty of articles on that. Kiffen was Pete carols mentor

LmmfaoI won't pretend to know Nolan ..although I've followed him since the giants. I think he's like most coordinators and concerned with attacking offenses from a variety of schemes
GTJeff1975
This is turning out to be a very promising offseason. Maybe last year was really the wake up call this organization needed.

I think he's like most coordinators and concerned with attacking offenses from a variety of schemeshe can do both but if I'm not mistaken, the 3-4 is what he's ran the most. The hybrid has been our 3-4 set since he's been here. He's always had a mixture though, just like every other team.
BadMoonRising
bah, I call crap its not like TD would know what scheme Nolan wants personal for. Us members of TATF have a much better understanding of what Nolan wants and plans to do this year.

The Talon
I don't care what they run, just so they can stop the run and get off the field on 3rd downs.

Effective play up front opens lanes for the middle linebackers, worrilow and spoon (assuming). But I know nothing about that type of ish. And to those who say we have no stand up rushers, that's another lie. We have at least 3 on the roster at this very moment

Not too mention one benefit of 34 is you can find a "lesser" 43 college end and plug him in and be a star. Countless numbers of not elite college DEs becoming studs in 34..James Harrison comes to mind

Kroys best season came as a hybrid rusher. Mass was scouted as a top 3-4 OLB.Injuries or not, Demarcus ware suffered as a 4-3 DE
