Here's my point...this is not the place for over-priced, declining players from other squads...just because we like their name. We need to identify a style of play and keep fresh talent in the system.

I wouldn't mind Peppers at the right price. I think last year was a miss for him, but I don't feel he is done. But I agree with 95% of what you are laying down!

Never mind Peppers give me some Steve Smith I can see that dude playing with a chip on his shoulder this season and getting him within the division mated up with Julio and Roddy pleeaaassseee we'll be straight up dogging some teams.

I'm with you. That angry assed little dwarf would wreck havoc.

Our system, for whatever reason, has not produced sacks other than ABE...so if you think the Peppers, will all of sudden make us this sack machine...then that's your opinion. I beg to differ. We need to shore up the oline, we need a safety, a RB...shucks, we have DEs galore. If the right scheme is implemented here....Biermann can get you 8 sacks...c'mon man!

I dont think 8 sacks makes you a sack machine. Pep got 7.5 last year. What year did Kroy get 8 sacks? Dont worry I'll wait.. And we aren't spending any money in FA on a RB or a starting quality OT. So that's irrelevant. And I have never said break the bank on him. See if he comes cheap. If not keep it moving

It's the system...not the player...that's all I'm saying. Just because his name is Peppers doesn't mean he's gonna get 7.5 sacks. I'd like to see the Falcons blitz more up the middle and maybe the end can come up with more sacks...quality DTs should improve the rush off the edges.

What's wrong with Goodman, Massaquoi, and Maponga? Can we please see what these guys can do with some talented DTs on the line coached by B. Cox....before we continue to keep bringing in "use-to-be" guys thinking there gonna be the main guy?

Goodman's a 5 tech. So the rushers now are Osi, Massaquoi, Maponga, Biermann. There's room to trade out for a better rusher and still let the guys develop. If we're keeping 5 there, you can either draft a young stud, or you can draft a young stud AND get a FA to replace one of your existing.

It's not silly, it's just not the largest need. Worth kicking tires on people to see if anyone comes cheap.

I think the same should be done at OT, FS, TE (all bigger needs)

Well he has gotten 7.5 sacks. You said Kroy could get 8, when he has never gotten 6. The name doesn't get the sacks.

Yeah I gotta good buddy who claims to know a ton about football, and in his defense he does know some things, who just sent me an overly excited text that "Steelers" just cut James Harrison!!!! He would be great in our 34 as OLB!!!!!!!!

I told him no...no thanks. 35 about to be 36. People love big names. But in Peppers' defense, an aging DE is much better than an AGED OLB. Abe showed us that. Linemen can get more done over the age of 34 than a linebacker.

I'd take Peppers for the right price hail yeah. Not sure I want Osi also though, unless he takes a pay cut.

For those saying peppers is done that is far from the truth now if your expecting vintage peppers of a decade ago then yes that's a pipe dream he wasn't even that caliber player when he left to go to the bears.

What he adds is leadership and can still be a productive 7-10 sack guy.

Also don't forget this guy played on maybe the worst feild in all of football that doesn't really help a guy like peppers get sacks its like playing in mud as there field is always trash.

If we can get him on the cheap like the cards did with Abe last year then go for it.

Abe was 35 last year and he got 11.5 sacks after a slow start and made the probowl peppers playing on our line with the new guys in Jackson and soliai I'd say he have a better year than last year.

Why so much hate for osi? He's like our best dlineman

You would think I'd take a healthy peters over him

But PFF actually rated mass as a more productive rusher which could be accurate because osi most of the time is playing on the blind side the one thing osi does tho is went he get to the QB he gets the sack and doesn't wiff like kroy or babs seems to do all the time.

Why is everyone so turn coat on Osi for?

for me its the fact that his role will be very limited as a 4-3 DE for the cap hit. He didn't do much of anything every time he lined up at 3-4 OLB last season. I have nothing against him, but if we can put the money to better use, we should.

with the draft as good as it seems to be by many we're set up to really add some impact players and fill the spots we need, injuries is the only thing to derail a big bounce back season, we're in good shape, we'll get a impact safety and a pass rusher and many more.
