J-Wall
@OsiUmenyiora: What a strange free agency. Just when you think you can't be surprised anymore, you see something that truly surprises you. Hopefully he is outta here(didn't like the signing last year and could use his money for Peppers)
CrimsonFalcon
I'm curious about that as well. I knew they had asked him to take a pay cut, but maybe he's been told that they will try to trade him or release him,.

Herr Doktor
There is a tectonic.shift in players. The ones who were smart and heady with their massive.paychecks.will be fine. The ones who.thought it would never end, well, the.end is knocking on the door. Welcome to cutthroat capitalism. It happens in all industries. And it's happening in the NFL now. Osi outproduced him last year with a shittier D-line to work with, FFS.

youngbloodz
Give me Peppers and keep Osi. Pep can get you 8 sacks and will be cheap.

youngbloodz
Peppers...? Why "cream" over players with a name? Why?Probably because Peppers can still get you 8 sacks and will be cheap. Keep Osi and sign Peppers. And cone draft time select Mack if he is at 6. Pass rush would be improved from last year

kiwifalcon
Never mind Peppers give me some Steve Smith I can see that dude playing with a chip on his shoulder this season and getting him within the division mated up with Julio and Roddy pleeaaassseee we'll be straight up dogging some teams. Why continue to do the same? That's why D. Robinson and Samuels are gone, AB shouldn't want the reputation of being a "pay master." FA and trades really should be complementary pieces...not "The" piece. The Birds are on the right path. I'd keep Osi and continue to fortify the Dline and try and find an impact player at the Safety position.

Cant equate that to another situation. I'm all for letting players develop. And Arthur can be whatever he wants. His team and players will come and fans will still go to the games if the Falcons are winning

We need to identify a style of play and keep fresh talent in the system. We simply don't need Peppers.
shockerfalcon
You think he would come to be the 3rd receiver? He's always wanted to play the slot but Carolina never had the WR to allow him to play that position
kiwifalcon
You think he would come to be the 3rd receiver?Yeah for sure.I'd take him and I don't care how old he is he school's most CB's and adds to the already physical nature of that group. Dont be that guy that assumes to know what others are thinking without asking them. Teams will always bring in 30 year plus year old veterans. This isn't Madden. Find me one team that hasn't sign a player over the age of 30 in the past 5 years. Those type of players still are a need

I beg to differ. We need to shore up the oline, we need a safety, a RB...shucks, we have DEs galore. If the right scheme is implemented here....Biermann can get you 8 sacks...c'mon man!
