so we are 19.6 that means with Asamoah we are at 17.1 million. we have rookies to sign so we are around 13.5 then we still are unknown about Hawley and Johnson. but I assume they are only going to cost max of 3 million together. therefore we are probably sitting around 10 million to spend.

We're at a about 14.3, not counting Babs, Hawley, and Johnson, all of which are still unknown. EDIT: I updated Spotrac's numbers.

time to redo Blalock's contract, dude is dwarfing Asamoah right now lol

Restructuring him really only helps us in the short term, though, especially since we already did that once. It actually hurts us long term. The smarter move with Blalock might just be to extend him.

We're at a little over 13.5, not counting Babs, Hawley, and Johnson, all of which are still unknown.

Whatever the totals end up being between 8-14 million??? that's still plenty enough to go out and get another quality FA OT,DE, or FS and then the draft..... Not considering it still possible more cuts like Osi or restructures Edited by malak07

OvertheCap currently has us at $12.5 in cap space with Soliai, Jackson, Asamoah, Babs, and Peters figured in.

They don't have Hawley or Johnson listed yet.

So I think around $10 million to spend sounds about right. That's not a lot to throw around considering we'll need $4 million for rookies and TD likes to leave a few million for emergencies.

Of course, we can always free up more space by restructuring/extending guys like Blalock and Roddy (or by cutting Osi and/or S-Jax).

Don't forget they haven't taken Decoud's contract off there yet. We are at like $12 mil.

Spotrac's new numbers has us at 19.7, not counting Soliai, so about 14.3, not counting Johnson, Hawley, or Babs. Oh and don't worry about the rookies. We still have more restructures/extensions to come, which should free up the money for them.

I keep forgetting about Bab.

I fixed what I said. now that 7 million is taking out even the rookies. and we also have a ton of money next year. yes we have 5+ players to re-sign. therefore they will eat 30 million of the 55 million cap space of 2015. Therefore we have 20+ million to spend. therefore we can back load a contract if we see a player we want this year easily.

With the cap due to go up, we should have roughly the same amount of cap space, next year, as we did this year.

OK, so spotrac's numbers were not including Decoud, for some reason, which is weird, b/c they had him removed earlier. But still, taking off him, and adding the 2.7 (roughly) for Babs, would only change it to 14.6 free. Then you still need to remove Johnson and Hawley. The thing that complicates this, is the top 51 rule, so you're removing roughly 420000 for each of the higher priced FAs that you add, so it's really about 15, before subtracting those two.
