Falcons Interested In Dl Antonio Smith

Recommended Posts

Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 Phoenix reports free agent DL Antonio Smith is drawing interest from the Falcons, Panthers, and Bucs.

The NFC South is hot after Smith, who also hasn't closed the door on a return to Houston. Smith, 32, can play in both 4-3 and 3-4 defenses as an interior pass rusher. He's racked up a respectable 27 sacks over the last five seasons.

People wanted Greg Hardy(No chance), Lamaar Houston(Available but expensive), Michael Bennett(Took less to stay in Sea), Michael Johnson(A little over his value), Arthur Jones(Ties to Pagano), Linval Joseph(available)...... reality is TD wants Antonio Smith(Good 3-4 End)???

Exactly, apparently Atlanta isn't the apple of everyone's eye or the holy grail of football some people make it out to be here on the message board. People forget there are 31 other teams to compete with. Now the reality that I tried to explain time and time again is setting in.

So people gave an opinion on who they want and it means they thought Atlanta is the holy grail of football?

The only player thats gone that we had real ties to is Johnson. Im not big on the " cream of the crop" free agents anyway. Paying a lot for guys out of house usually doesn't work out. And I emphasize "a lot".

Yep, considering they think Atlanta can offer less money and win because of "appeal"
