LouDog.
yeah well. I didnt want him anyway. Osi had 7.5 sacks on our terrible line. Bennett had close to the same on Seattles dominant line.

GEORGIAfan
They had no choice after cutting Bryant. They could not lose Bryant and Bennett, but 8.5mil is spensive.

WOR
I can, esp. from the Vikings. The vikings just gave big money to two DEs. They aren't going after MJ. If they do…. thats an interesting use of money
Dharma Initiative
Its not about sacks. It is not all about sacks but his qb pressure percentage wasnt that great either."Dude had 9 PDs and an int and 2 FF and btw lined up at RE, LE, and stood up. He's an incredibly versatile player. Not too mention 56 tackles 35 unassisted and 5 TFL.And btw Don't worry. He'll still get paid wherever he signs. Despite only generating 3.5 sacks, he still set a career-high in quarterback hits (17), hurries (41) and batted passes at the line of scrimmage (7)."Career highs in hits and hurries

I wasnt saying MJs qb pressure percentage was low. I meant Bennetts was. MJ actually had a very high QB pressure percentage

WOR
MJs sacks were down, but his pressures were upYou know what that means oh great wise posters? He got to the QB a lot. But without atkins and a collapsed pocket, the qb stepped up away from him. His sack numbers had nothing to do with him

They have a ton of cap space, they can easily afford both players.

Psychic Gibbon
It was only a matter of time before they re-signed him after they cut Bryant.
smartfalconfan
OSI did good for what he had. With a sorry defensive line 7.5 sack 47 tackles 38 solo and 2 force fumbles and a interception. 4.7 million
DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry
I like Bennett a lot but he never struck me as a lead sack guy like a Jared Allen. I don't think he has an 11+ sack upside to him. But he really helped their D and bringing him back was pretty important for them.Wonder what chicago was offering... slamee101
So I don't know what the guaranteed $ is but this means he and Griffen are averaging about 8.5 million a year. I think MJ was better than Griffen but not better than Bennett. His market should be driven down.
