TheEvilDead1983
Could Babs play 3-4 defensive end? People are saying Peters can, I don't see why Babs couldn't be the other DE
JD dirtybird21
I think a switch to the 3-4 would guarantee that the Falcons are going after Mack
droopy1592
We aren't switching to a full 3-4. You boys do know a NT can play in the 3-4 correct? If we going to a full 3-4 why resign Peters and looking to resign Babs? Things that make you go hmmm babs and peters have shown push and speed and are 3-4DE size. Mike Kenn
We run more 3-4 than 4-3 already. We will continue to run the 4-3 under as it is a good combination of concepts from both fronts. This isn't news if you watched us play. The main thing changing is the players not the philosophyNo we dont. We run more 4-3 and mostly 4-2-5 looks. Either way we will be mostly a 4-2-5 team. If we do convert our base to a 3-4 then we will use a 2-4-5 nickel front (Which is basically a 4-2-5) and we may see some 3-3-5 looks mixed in like San Fran does Edited March 10, 2014 by Mike Kenn

If we go to a 3 -4 we won't be a predominantly 4-2-5 team. And a 2-4-5 or 3-3-5 is usually the preferred Nickle package of 3-4 teams. Stealers use a 1-5-5--that one confuses me

We used an odd front more. Listing the other formations was irrelevant. I already know we ran more nickel and 4-3 Under (some call it 5-2, many on this board mistake it for the LEO) looks than 3-4. But we used the 3-4 more than the 4-3. That is a fact not an opinion and it has been written about before.
primetime
I think a switch to the 3-4 would guarantee that the Falcons are going after MackAgree - cant run a pure 3-4 without a standing pass rush demon. Not saying I think we drift away from the hybrid as that is Nolans thing (variety and vetsstility). However no Mack no pure 3-4 is happening.
