atljbo
Let me start off with this will be a short term answer.... I got a chance to see a couple of Champ Bailey games this year..... Dude had a very solid season over all and he played injured. His play hereI would like to see champ at FS ... It should be cheaper (focus on building the Lines) and he played alot of snaps in the slot so he will have the ability as a big CB to cover athletic TE's that has Killed us like Greg Olson, Graham, and EVERY FREAKING TE in the league...I dont think he will mentally have a problem converting to FS also.. He is a FBI type player. The guy is also a sound tacklerExtra things Champ bringsOur young CB's got a chance to learn from Asante Samuel... An aggressive jumping routes off playing CB.... Champ can come in and give them pointers as a more physical all around CB...Again... This is a 1 or 2 year answer the most but it buys us a year or 2... It gives us a cheaper option with good play that will allow us to put our money towards our Lines.... Also in a year or 2 with our CB's being more seasoned we will be able to feel more comfortable drafting a rookie starting FS
kiwifalcon
JBO I'm all for a signing like this we need that old head in the secondary and the fact he can cover every CB spot in a pinch and is willing to play Safety screams out for me to say sign him quick fast in a hurry. Drunken Minotaur Zebra
Nothing will fire our secondary up more than bringing in one of the top 5 greatest cornerbacks in NFL history. Imagine the work he could do with Trufant and Alford.yesplz
Bring It
Only if he can run a 40 in under 30 sec.
Romfal
I'd bring him in as the 3rd or 4th CB, backup FS and a mentor for cheap, dont expect miracles tho.

Signing him gives the option to cut decoud and draft someone else to learn from bailey. Bailey can also mentor the corners, show them some things that Asante couldn't teach them. Mike Kenn
Reasons1. He went to Georgia2. He was pretty good like 6 years ago3. He could watch mentor Trufant and Alford

Mike Kenn
Why?Hes old and bad. We just got rid of Asante. We dont really need him with Trufant, Alford, and McClain coming back. We have brought in a handful of "Lockerroom leaders" over the past few years and none of them were enough of an influence on the young guys to avoid a 4-12 season... Mike Kenn
Bringing Champ in at FS helps keep us from doing something silly with Jairus Byrd.I mean we did just draft a pair of safetys last season....has Champ ever played FS?
FalconFanForLife
He is an interesting proposition for a short term fix. I would think his fit here would be more at nickleback myself rather than converting to FS unless the guys we drafted last year are not up to the task at this point. TheFatboi
Only if he can run a 40 in under 30 sec.He actually was clocked still running a low 4.4 high 4.3. His straight line speed is still there. May have lost some in the hips but all good reason to play him at FS until we find the answer if Byrd doesn't play ball. He's still a ball hawk and a good tackler.
