XXVIII-III
Yes, this is worthy of its own thread. Think about this unbiassedly: Trade JJ and his bum foot (I'm a big JJ fan, so I'm not bashing) to a receiver needy team and get some serious draft pick compensation for him. We could then have the ammo to take Watkins and whoever drops to us at 6. Now we won't be stuck with JJ's upcoming monster deal and we'll get 2 real impact players, brilliant! SavvyFalcon89
...........................Now let me get this straight, you want us to trade our best pro bowl receiver for unproven draft picks that may or may not work out?. Well either way Blank said we aren't taking skill position with our first pick anyway.

WOR
Do you pay julios contract? Then what do you care. So many people bitching about a deal julio doesn't even have…
AndySG
So you're expecting one of the top five picks to give us more than a first round pick for Julio?Because, for you to say that we can "get Watkins and then whoever drops to us at 6", it would need to be a top five pick. And there's no way that I'd swap Julio straight up for Watkins. Julio has proven that he is one of the best wide receivers in the league. Watkins, while very good, is not Julio-level at the moment. PeytonMannings Forehead
derp, derp, I didn't see that one coming, LAUGH OUT LOUDI was actually being serious, because only in Madden can you ignore your offensive line and use high draft picks to load up on receivers... well Madden and if Matt Millen is running your team. Guest King Jigsaw
Didn't swift make a thread of this exact same idea? Trading Julio to St. Louis for their first round picks and drafting Clowney at 2, Watkins at 6, and also having a pick at 13 for Donald/Hageman/Lewan? texasfalconfan
The issue is the cost of his jj's contract as iy pertains to cap space. We tend to overpay our players. Look at sam baker, decoud, gonzalez, clabo, ray edwards. Ohh and what if we didnt resign ryan after this dismall season im sure we could have done a more favorable deal. What im hopin is the influx of pioli will translate into smarter contracts. And actually i could see us trading roddy if we were to take watkins not julio roddys career is starting to wind down and this years contract is not to bad so his trade value is higher now than later. Of course it would be nice having jj roddy and sammy to throw too

JulioisCoolio
The only realistic trade of Julio that I would do would be Julio for Robert Quinn straight up.
