Clark Kent™
Auburn redshirt sophomore T Greg Robinson told ESPN's Joe Schad he received a first-round projection from the NFL Draft Advisory Board. Robinson "doesn't want to hurt his teammates but said helping Mom is big factor," Schad added. The massive left tackle is a bully in the running game and has the athleticism and punch power to succeed in pass protection. He is a likely top-15 selection. toadfishtom
like him at 6, big strong , plays with agressive attitude, something we need right ?
WOR
I just hope people don't expect him to be good at pass pro next year. They will be disappointed. The kid will need time
g-dawg
we could do worse - I just want to see how he does in pass protection drills at combine and get more feedback from the likes of Mayock and others about Greg Robinson in pass protection - if he projects well there - then I am interested in him for Falcons at #6. The kid will need timeIf you could start him at RT with a monster RG beside him for his first couple of years he could develop into a fantastic LT.Unfortunately the Falcons do not have anything close to a decent RG. You think we could run behind those behemoths with Mack doing his thing in the middle?
FlyingHighATL
I still hope we pull Gabe Jackson..dude had a great season opening up running lanes and protecting the QB. Would be a solid get for our OLine going forward.
Atlanta_Dawgs46
Awesome, we could potentially land him or Matthews. Matthews is more polish, but Robinson has more potential.
FlyingHighATL
Matthews is overrated, no thanks.
etherdome
I still like Cameron Erving more. Erving is more mobile (useful in the screen game) and he is very physically nasty. Either way, we get a future LT and the OL moved in the right direction.
1981falcsny
I personally don't like him at 6, at the 6 spot I want immediate results, if he is available with our second then I'd trust our office/coaching staff if they decided to take him.But a lot will change between now and even combine time. It'll be an exciting/important off-season for this organization.
WOR
that is my concern - we don't need another project in pass protection - we already are suffering with Lamar Holmes. At least with Robinson and a RG we would have a run game
Atlanta_Dawgs46
If we don't go tackle at number 6, I hope we go Mack. Here is what I hope to happen if we go Mack:1st: Khalil Mack OLB2nd: Gabe Jackson OG3rd: Calvin Pryor FS4th: Billy Turner OT
bradbowski
Would be happy with Robinson at #6. From what I've seen, I think I actually like him better than Matthews long term. Matthews may be better day 1, but I think Robinson will be better year 2 on. Plug him at RT day 1 and you already have a better running game. And he can't be worse than Trueblood at protection. Jigglypuff
mack got in a fight on the field with a teammate... I dont know someone else posted on a comment that hes a dbag in real life... id rather get another position than lb with first pick
ATLFalcons11
I agree with folks saying he will have problems with pass pro. Given that is our biggest problem since the makeup of our team is to pass, I would prefer to pass on Robinson.
Atlanta_Dawgs46
Our biggest problem is running the ball. We need to be able to run the ball to set up the pass. Pass protection is horrible, but if we can run the ball it would help a lot
1989Fan
I like this guy, but TD only seems to like drafting players with experience, in particular seniors. Has he taken any underclassmen with a first round pick? Not sure TD would take a shot on a sophmore.

I don't think Robinson is a Dimitroff kind of pick - given their penchant for selecting seniors - with a few exceptions - i really don't see Dimitroff taking a redshirt Sophmore - especially at the offensive line. g-dawg
Julio Jones was a Junior.Julio Jones was a Junior.skill positions are different - RB/WR's that are elite typically go early and don't need the extra seasoning that an offensive lineman or a quarterback needs.
