Some interesting numbers that Kevin Scarbinsky has posted.

Nick Saban coached teams are 0-5 against Auburn teams that finished with 9 or more wins: 2000, 2002, 2004, 2007 and 2010.

Alabama is 0-8 in the last 8 games against Auburn teams that finished with 9 or more wins: 2010, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2002, 2000 and 1997. The last time Alabama beat an Auburn team that finished with 9 or more wins was 1994.

On the flip side Auburn has won 3 of the past 7 Iron Bowls against Alabama teams that finished with 9 or more wins: 2010, 2005 and 2002.

Now these are just numbers and don't really mean anything but they're interesting nonetheless.

i know man, just busting you. auburn definitely has the mojo working for them right now but it just seems alabama wills itself to victory every week. they have not been on top of their game since the a&m game. Saban does get his teams ready for big games though.

While it definitely has NCG implications i think where auburn can gain the most ground is recruiting. Win this game against bama and your recruiting numbers will skyrocket.

I bet we win by at least 14

No way. 10 points at the most. Auburn is much better than the team that Bammer has beat the crap out of the last 2 years. They aren't 10-1 by accident. Bammer also isn't nearly as stout as they have been in years past. If Bammer had been playing anyone worth a **** last Saturday they would have lost because they played like total crap.

Recruiting hasn't been a problem for Auburn. Check out our recruiting classes for the last few years. The problem was actually having coaching to develop that talent.

and they played like total crap because they try to coast through the easy games but they ALWAYS show up for the big boys.

Do you remember what happened in 2009? Auburn nearly beat Alabama at Jordan-Hare. Led the whole game until right to the very end. Alabama was pretty good that year and Auburn wasn't. Auburn is much better this year. This is the best Auburn defense since 2008 and you know we can score.

yes but y'alls strength on O is our strength on D. Yall run the ball and we stop the run. Our D matches up against y'alls O a lot better than y'alls D matches up with our O

Yeah Alabama can stop the school for the death and blind from running the ball. All we heard last week was how Auburn wasn't going to be able to run the ball against Georgia and how they had no chance in heIl of stopping both Gurley and Murray. We saw what happened. Auburn for the most part dominated the game. Just keep on doubting and we'll keep on proving people wrong.
