Dirtybird56
Sign him for what he's worth. SLIGHTLY above average LB pay, TD will overpay though because that's what he does to keep his draft picks.

RS91
I think spoon does what he is told to do you think he is not worth being on the teamNo. He's only average in coverage, he's soft against the run, he's not a very good open field tackler, and he brings very little to the table in terms of pass rush. He is, on his best days, an above average OLB. Not even close to the "playmaker" people on this board try to pump him up as.
truefalcon
I think spoon does what he is told to do you think he is not worth being on the teamAll these last year's proclaimed studs are really duds this year.
Shnikies
He's a great leader and that is all. On the field he is good at everything but great at nothing you still don't get rid of your leader on defense just because hes not Patrick Willis. Sometimes real leaders don't produce - they just direct traffic. This guy's time has come (Send him to coaching staff, or send him away). raysnill1
dude has missed almost the whole season. I wanna see yall come back to a full contact sport after a leg injury and not have some cobwebs to shake off

This guy's time has come (Send him to coaching staff, or send him away).Yeah good idea who do we replace him with that will have superior talent and leadership ability's. Since were so deep at linebacker were playing two undrafted free agents. Not to mention our offensive line sucks and Dline is atrocious too so we should just drop our best linebacker and ignore the real weakness of this team. sdogg
I truly hope the homers realize how overrated he is. He is not a playmaker at all.

Think of that, did ya?

Guest Negatorris
He's lost his explosiveness ever since the first injury in 2012. In 2011 he was the unquestioned MVP of the defense that year, and everyone thought he would be the best young LB in the next few years. He's gone south since then. I don't think we should completely give up on him yet, but he should definitely not get a contract worthy of a impact LB.
fansince78
I never thought he was all that great, but he is good. If he asks for big bucks, the team should look elsewhere.

Shnikies
No, you didn't, shortsighted. You just conveniently posted an excuse for his sub-par performance - or did you not recognized that? You still haven't given an idea what to do about him. Should we just draft another linebacker and ignore the offensive line. You should go look at the year Ray Lewis lost Siringusa. It was arguably rays worst year he complained about it all year. You put a big body in the middle of this defense and watch what happens.
THE ICEMAN
Respectfully, disagree. Sometimes real leaders don't produce - they just direct traffic. This guy's time has come (Send him to coaching staff, or send him away). His defense held this high powered Saints offense to only 17 points and he's the one getting people lined up and making adjustments As a player alone and what he can do he's average at best manly because he can't stay on the field plus the falcons don't use him to his skill set there trying to make him Patrick Willis when he isn't and I don't think the team uses Moore wright either if they actually had another Probowl caliber LB with spoon he'd be far better and the same can be said if they had someone with Moore who could actually cover so he could blitz and just play all over the place with out having to be the center fielder on 3rd down most of the time.
