It's hard to know what to do about the OL. We're married to Baker and Blalock financially

Not Blalock. We can actually save cap dollars if we release him next year. Problem is he is our best Olineman. That aint saying much though. Mofo never could run block. I'd cut him as part of a major Oline overhaul.

We are married to SackMaker though. We will absolutely get raped if we cut him before 2016. We got Dimitroffed so bad on that deal.

Dimitroff got Dimitroffed. Not sure why he didn't cut bait and grab Jake Long.

This is part of the problem. Its expensive to be a good passing team. You need a couple of top rated receivers if not 3, you need a top TE, you need top OL especially a LT and you need a top receiving RB or a good RBBC situation.

Defense may suffer.

The Patriots have ran a top tier passing team for nearly a decade with a budget set-up.

Are you serious! Guard play is ok?..We need Lineman that can push and get a freaking yard. We need mean big bodies that can open a hole and block a blitzing linebacker for more than a freaking second. With the exception of Babs we need a complete overhaul on both lines. Start inside out and build the foundations then we will see the results we are looking for. How can anyone say we have solid guards, when we have not picked at 3rd and anything short running the ball. Jeesh!

I really think the problem is creativity.. We obviously can't because our O-line suuuuuuucks. Throw shorts passes, and give Toilolo some more reps, this guys is a weapon in red zone and on 3rd short. He could be the new Jimmy Graham. BUt the defience is horrible - DeCoud need to step up, otherwise it might be time to start Zeke Mota and move Moore to the free safety. And maybe put Decoud as a corner?

I would keep Holmes at LT and cut/trade Baker. The more he plays, the more experience he will get. Over the offseason he needs to work on his conditioning. I would stick with Blalock at LG and Konz at C. Konz needs to work on improving his strength and recognizing coverages.

I would draft/acquire a vet RG and cut Reynolds. I would do the same for RT. Trueblood has no business playing. If we was going young we should have stayed that way.

College G prospect: Su'a-Filo (UCLA), Gabe Jackson (Miss St), Cyril Richardson (Baylor).

dimitroff can't build lines. It's that simple. He overestimates his ability to find guys 2nd round and lower who he thinks can come in here and be immediate contributors. They either are always hurt (see Johnson) are out of shape with questionable work ethics (see Holmes) or they are woefully underperforming (see Konz and at times Reynolds).

McKay couldn't draft offensive skill players when he was Bucs GM and dimitroff can't build lines. I guess every GM has their weak areas. Unfortunately for us Falcon fans dimitroff is weak in an area that is crucial.

SMH.... This is horrible. We need to cut ALOT more players then that. We are not set at RB nor Guard. We need better LBs, better DTs, CBs, KR/PR. First thing we need is the rebuild our OLine. Cut Holmes, Trueblood and bench Reynolds. Cut all DTs except Babs and bench any LB not named Weatherspoon. Bring in 3 vets at C, DT and MLB. Fire the scouting department. Hire some young, hungry, knowable, scouts who is up on the current NFL trends and curves. No more fat old men who talk about the old draft days when free agency first started (sorry pops but this is a young mans game time to get your fat azz out the way). Fire Patt Hill no more silver foxes who's last time being a success was in the 90's. Use our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to trade back and stock pile picks. We don't need top 10 players just good ones. This is a deep draft that a smart team can clean up with. With either a late pick (5-7th) or comp grab the faster player on the board with the best agility. I don't care what his name is, where he's from, what his record says( school ir arrest record). Find a speeding bullet to return some freaking kicks.

I think we will have a major make over next year ..... Starting with the O-line I would keep everyone but they wouldn't ness be starters keep Blalock, Baker, and Holmes .... I know Holmes is shaky but at least he's young and learning .... Konz is too weak and Reynolds seems to be on his on agenda .... Get rid of SJ .... I think HD is out this year .... and Defense I would say get rid of everybody but we have to have some vets so keep Spoon, Osi, Babs, ya Safties and ya CB .... So this coming draft I'd go DE or DT first round, 2nd round LT or G , 3rd LB , 4th DE or LB .... We need a play maker or game changer I know Julio is that guy on Offense but Im talking about SPT someone with a 4.2 or 4.3 speed.

Your post makes out that our O-Line is okay. It needs an overhaul. Konz is the only one I would deffo keep, maybe Holmes too. Dump Baker, Reynolds and Bialock if he doesn't improve.

No, it doesn't. Out both tackle positions are terrible, and Konz is absolutely terrible at run blocking. Blalock has been our only good offensive linemen, while Reynolds has just been solid. The problem is Baker's contract, and Konz is young and inexperienced. The only position that isn't locked in, nor has a young player at it, is RT. Considering how dire our defensive line is, we need to invest in that first.

So, bring in a new RB, new guards, two new LBs, one or two new DTs, new CBs, replace both tackles, and a KR/PR specialist... with some of these guys being expensive FA veterans. Not happening in one off-season.

You want to replace 10-12 starters?

Going into this season, we only looked to replace five... RT, RG, C, RCB, and RDE. Cutting that much and relying on seemingly random replacements via FA and draft, would pretty much tank us.

Luckily, Baker's salary is extremely reasonable during his guaranteed years. Dimitroff wins again.

BTW, your boy DeMarco Murray - you know, the guy you said you would gladly burn a number one draft pick on - is injured. Again.

First Laurent Robinson, and now this. What is it with you popping boners for all these injury-prone players?

Hey clown should we bump that thread where you said Dimi should have taken Murray instead of Julio? Oh and while we're talking about injuries, where T F is Julio? And Spoon? And SackMaker? They miss as many or more games as Murray. Dimi aint winning sht. He sucks son.

All too easy.

Thank you, though. I was having a fierce craving for old man tears.
