The dynamic duo are bright spots in an otherwise dismal start to the year.

The Falcons are having a disappointing season, but there are still individual bright spots to be found. The Matt Ryan to Julio Jones connection is one of those.

Ryan's had a few disappointing throws and Jones is second in the NFL in drops, so there are certainly flaws to be found in their games. They're still keeping the Falcons competitive each week and putting up some huge numbers in the meantime.

Right now, Ryan is on pace for 5,320 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. The yardage would be a career high by about 800 yards, but it's attainable given the way the Falcons have been flinging the ball this year. He's also completing 66.5% of his passes.

Jones is on pace for 132 receptions, 1,924 yards, and eight touchdowns, which would seem like preposterous numbers if he wasn't Julio Jones. As it is, they merely seem a little absurd.

The Falcons need to start winning football teams, but make no mistake: The Ryan to Jones combination gives them one of their best chances to do so.

That's true. I wish we would sit roddy and let him fully recover and get some of our young recievers involved

I think Roddy is almost back, cause he showed some serious burst on that deep pass where he got the PI call. he had Talib beat and a better placed ball might have resulted in six cause he had to slow up and try to turn for the ball

This year is crazy as far as the numbers guys are putting up. JJ and MR are having outstanding years (hoping to see that lead to some W's though), but how bout Peyton Manning... that dude is on pace for 5880 yards! and 64 tds... with no INTS... that's almost hilarious to see those numbers...

Back to our guys, the craziest thing about the way that those two are playing, it's clear to everyone that they can play even better... Matt has left some throws on the field, and guys have dropped some passes, including Julio. Also, our offense cannot move the ball for at least a quarter and a half of each game, so think if we ever put it together how good things are going to look.

It's still really hard to look at the standings and actually believe that this team, as talented as it is, is only 1-3... it's crazy, but it's definitely not too late to start turning things around, and it starts Monday night with a very winnable game vs the Jets.

Yeah a convincing win against the jets can put some fire under our players and fans

I thought the same thing, but apparently the coaches believe an 80% Roddy White is better than a 100% anyone else on the team. That's sad.

But again, you never know what kind of incentives and/or actuators players have in their contracts. So Roddy could be doing this in order to get paid a little more. Can't blame him if that's the case.

Once Roddy is healthy and more importantly we get SJax back. We will be pounding teams. We have TG and JJ as the only two threats right now. I'm not discounting either of those guys. They are both great players but teams can game plan for two guys. When our offensive weapons are healthy, we'll be a DC worst nightmare.
