Here's one of the things that these score progressions and W-L results actually reveal to anyone willing to see it...

The Falcons have the QB and personnel, and coach inputs, to get up on opponents with two and even three score leads... often times by half time.... AND those same components can then respond much more than not with quality of play that recaptures lost leads in the second half of games and results in an eventual W. Which begs the million-dollar-question... if you're good enough to get a big lead (Sooooo Often), squander it, and then get the lead back (Soooo Often) ... why don't you just extend your leads more often than not, or at least luck into maintaining a few of them, and thus change the dynamics of this multitude of games in your teams' favor as the games wind down with that lead??

Opinion: I understand that teams adjust and sometimes things just happen in games that cause it to get closer or for your to lose the lead, but there is an overwhelming trend under Smitty. I saw it becoming habitual back two+ seasons ago and since it has become an epidemic; one that I see largely as avoidable... and if I were the Owner of the Falcons, or were the GM, that I would be addressing quite emphatically.

We'll said and the variable that has remained the same is coach smith. We have changed coordinators but he imposes his conservative will. There is nothing wrong with adjusting your plays when teams adjust to what you were doing to them in the first half. This team has talent and is being held back!

This is a lack of creative coaching adjustments!
