For The People Saying The Defense Sucks

We practically have two rookie CBs starting and playing their ***** off right now, an undrafted nobody at OLB that's lighting it on fire right now with Osi playing way beyond expectations. Willy Mo has played hard, the only question mark is DeCoud.

They had 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and an INT. That's forced turnovers and the offense only put up 23 points. Granted, that's due to the injury bug, but we still can do better on the offense. This team is built around offense, the defense has come through these past few weeks.

You just named a ton of measurables. There are plenty of other things which don't have stat lines that show our defense isn't as great as some may think, one of those being the general fact that we lost a game we were pretty much dominating at one point. We were bad against the run. We were bad in coverage. For as many times as we got to the ball and put Baby Tann on his back, there were just as many where he made our defense look like chop steak.

I agree that, all things considered, many pieces of our defense are doing a better job than expected. I'll also agree that our defense isn't as "doom and gloom" as a lot of folks want to make it out to be. But it's definitely not upper echelon, and it definitely played a part in letting today's game slip away from us.

Bit rough on Matt Ryan to liken him to a rookie
