Tony Sarigusa just said he talked to Smith about going for the FG with 14 seconds on the clock. He says Smith told him they never went for a TD with 16 or fewer seconds left on the clock because if somebody caught the ball in bounds they might not be able to get out of bounds?! Why in eff would you not throw the goddam ball into the end zone?? Beyond moronic reasoning.

Co signed

Smh at all the message board geniuses that make excuses for pro athletes being gased. They just had a 2 minute and called a timeout prior to that play

End zone is 15 yards away. The defense isn't stupid. They know you are going to throw to the end zone so they will have everybody in the end zone. This makes your QB hold the ball or throw to somebody in bounds. Hold the ball and Matt gets hit again. Stay in bounds and risk no play like this:

Would you 3 points or 0 points?

Get over yourself, Smith has more football knowledge is his pinky than you ever will. Man up and stop trying to find things to moan about.

well either 3 things happen. With no time outs especially. You throw it incomplete. Throw an interception or you get a touchdown. No point in risking a potential pick 6.i don't like it but I understand why it happened

We have TG for this kind of situation. What would've been the harm to at least let him try to make a play? I don't get it. We'd still have the chance for 3 points.

Thank you! Case closed on this as far as I'm concerned. I appreciate/like smith people act like you're not a fan if you disagree w the head coach one time.

Do you not think the defense knows this? Roddy isn't making that play. It takes about 2 seconds to cover the 15 yards to the end zone. The odds of somebody being open with 7 guys covering the end zone is very slim. This isn't Madden where you hope some idiot tries to blitz you. The harm in trying in real life is another possible hit to your QB, only to end up kicking a FG anyway or an interception since everybody is covering the end zone. Sorry this is so difficult for your kind to understand.

Even if the defense plays it perfectly, I've seen TG make a ton of TD catches when perfectly covered. It's just scared football. It's leaving potential critical points off the board. I understand what happened despite your suspicion that somehow I don't.
