I think we have a really good chance of going to the SB. The only thing is we will be relying on some rookie/ second year players to help get us there. If they can't step up we win it all. If not we are just another good team.

12-4/11-5, NFCS Champs

Yeah I think at worse 10-6. I think we will be more around 12-4. I think we definitely make it to the NFC Championship game. I believe we make it to the SB also. If we do I'm not worried about the AFC. Just like last year I really believe we would have best the Ravens somewhat easy.

10-6 or 11-5. Have to wait on playoffs to guess how far we go. Who knows who gets injured on other teams

Yeah it's so hard to predict due to all the good teams. My thing is I think of how good we was in the playoffs when we were putting it on the Hawks and Niners. If we can play that way and fix the melt downs there's nobody who can best us. Plus I believe we have improved player wise and its the 2nd year in both schemes.

I completely agree that we are unbeatable if the players can play 4 full quarters of football. That has been an issue with this team for about 3 years now. My biggest issue with them as well.

I think 11-5 is a realistic expectation with this year's schedule. If the O line plays like it did against Baltimore, or better, I see a Superbowl appearance as a high probability.

Best=Superbowl

Wost=lose again in NFCC game

If Ryan goes down, knock on wood, we get #1 pick and Clowny.

Passing downs I see Osi, Massq, Babs, Goodmen / Maponga, flat getting after it. With the Worrilow effect sprinkled in to blitz, cuz he just gets home.

Speaking of next year's draft, good Lord, I want that De'Anthony Thomas kid at Oregon. Electrifying return specialist.

Yeah mine as well. Not trying to make excuses, but it seemed it only happened last year with the mobile QBs. I hope we have fixed this or gotten way better. The whole taking the foot off the gas argument I don't agree with. I understand when you are winning and you are in the 4th it's smart to try and run clock. Keep your D off the field and fresh to try and close out. In the playoffs you could tell our D was tired.

I wonder why the Falcons have settled on Quizz at KR? He's not fast enough. Antoine Smith is much faster. The position isn't nearly as important as it used to be, since the kickoff is usually a touchback now, (which I hate), but the occassional return still happens. Thoughts?

Yeah I want a great KR/PR. They can change a game. See the Broncos and Ravens in the playoffs.

As far as Quizz he's really solid there. He may not be a home run kind of guy, but he always gets good yardage and even better he never turns the ball over. Plus they want to give Quizz touches.

NFC South will be a blood bath this year. Falcons + Sean Payton led Saints + up and coming Bucs. Then there's the Panthers...

If we take the division we're gonna have to FIGHT for it. Starting in NO.

Yeah Nola is always a battle. The Bucs haven't looked to great this preseason but the key word is preseason. Panthers look like crap but they still give us fits.

Looks like the Defense is rallying around Osi.

When you listen to his interviews you automatically

think, wow what a great guy, and I believe that the

defensive players Old and Young do not want to let

him down.

Also add in this Warrilow guy, who is flat out showing

this team what hustle and determination is, we may

have found the Heart and Soul of our defense.

While we wont have a top defense this year I believe that

as a group they will be hard to beat.

I think that 12-4 is obtainable and 10-6 is low.

11-5 is my guess. (playing it safe)

I think 12-4 or 11-5 is a safe assumption. I feel like our offense is going to be unstoppable barring any serious injury. The addition of Sjax allows the falcons to be more explosive because there is the threat of the run. I feel like this defense is going to do great things under Nolan in his second season. I think our young talent when given the reps will excel. I felt good about this team last year but I think with OSI and Sjax here we may have just enough to reach the superbowl.

Mobile QBs wacko.png

You'd think having our defense practice against Dom Davis would help them with mobile QBs...

It might.

I also heard reports during the off-season that Smitty/Nolan visited Clemson to gain some knowledge on how to defend against mobile QBs and the read option.

I'm sure he has developed a scheme against it, but we won't see what he has come up with until the regular season. We will not see it in the preseason.

Well, hopefully we got it figured out because we see pretty much every mobile QB in the league this year... I think it all boils down to discipline and once you got that down you'll be fine. NFL guys have just been so used to running right to the ball for years it will just take a little bit of time to adjust.

Yep , a disciplined line would do it. That and making sure you punish the QB every time he becomes eligible. Make the coaches regret they went into the option by destroying their QB every time.
