2011 - Patriots lose in second round of playoffs, Colts lose in opening round

2012 - Patriots knock out Baltimore and play in the Super Bowl

2013 - Patriots make it to the AFC Championship game, Broncos knocked out the first round

How can you even make a case for Peyton recently?

Peyton and Brady will be GOATS, either of the players had ups and downs. Brady will be tested this year and will see if he can step up like Peyton did in 2010, when his WR got hurt, when most of his OL was on IR. Can he do what Peyton did in 2010? We shall see.

Didn't Peyton still have Reggie Wayne and Pierre Garcon?

Ummm no he isn't. I firmly believe Rodgers is pretty much in a class of his own. He can do anything with the football. Great arm most accurate QB I've ever seen and has really good mobility. My favorite QB to watch not named Ryan

He just had Reggie Wayne, Garcon was nothing special before 2010, he was just average. His other primary targets were Dallas Clarke, Austin Collie who ended up on IR. They had starting RB end up on IR as well. Colts had 21 players on IR that year, including the multiple strings of OL. It was hard to imagine how, they made playoffs.

And Peyton choked hard against the Saints. He chokes out in the playoffs often in comparison to Brady

that's totally wrong. since peyton won his super bowl, brady has been worse in the postseason than him. worse numbers, worse performances, more choking from brady (remember the offensive meltdowns v giants and jets when he put up 38 and 45 on them just weeks earlier?). also, whenever they have played the same defense in the same postseason, peyton has had the better game. peyton has also given his team a 4th quarter lead in a record 11 straight playoff games. his defense just struggles to make the plays, they should have picked off flacco twice in OT (6:07 and 4:03). peyton gets rahim moore, brady gets sterling moss.

I've never gotten why Peyton is always higher rated during his career than Brady. Brady has a lot more success and constant turnover at RB and WR around him, but the team keeps going.

They're super close, IMO but yeah, Brady is better.

Brady has done more in terms of shaping his game to play to the teammates around him. Peyton has played in the same offense for 13 years, even bringing it with him to Denver.

FTR, Rodgers is the best QB in the league. Peyton's injury issues have taken a bit of heat off of his fastball...and he never had a huge arm. He struggles driving the ball into the wind and pushing the ball downfield.
