freebird310
Ryan was much better in his 5th year development than Manning was. And he is still getting better. Matt beat Peyton handily in every major statistical category. With Jackson on board in the passing game would not shock me if Ryan cracked 70% completion rate in 2013. Plumb scary if you are an NFC DC ...Manning year 5 - 66.3 completion % Ryan - 68.6Manning year 5 - yards - 4200 Ryan - 4719Manning year 5 - YPG - 262.5 Ryan - 294Manning year 5 - TDs - 27 Ryan - 32 Manning year 5 - YPA - 7.1 Ryan - 7.7Manning year 5 - INTS - 19 Ryan - 14Manning year 5 QBR - 88.8 Ryan - 99.

freebird310
Manning really exploded in his 7th, 8th, and 9th year, year 7 was when he peaked ...boyz, our future is so bright we gotta wear shades ....
FulC0
Hopefully Ryan will peak before he is surpassed by THE ANNOINTED ONE Dominique Davis.

Keys
Russell Wilson and RG3 rookie season stats BLOW RYAN rookie stats out of waterTo be fair, their offensive systems were out of the norm and much different than Matt's. Ryan was stuck with a conservative OC and HC in a traditional power running offense.

Black Francis
The reason why TD is obligated to get Ryan a defense. It's time. Ryan is good enough to carry a team. Believe.
Ethos
Reggie Wayne wasn't the Reggie Wayne we know right now in 2002 so all Manning really had to work with was Marvin Harrison. Ryan had a much better supporting cast than Peyton did in his 5th year.
RYNE
Cool Stats, interesting to see however.....Can we just leave Matt Ryan alone? He is a very good quarterback who is still getting better. What else do some fans possibly want?
FulC0
^Totally agree - which is why I am surprised that not more has been done to sure up our defense in the offseason.

Guess the Colts didn't have much run support either...
Ethos
BS, he had Harrison, Wayne, Ismael, Pollard, and Edgerrin James, they went to the playoffs, if that aint a cast, WTF is ? ...Reggie Wayne was in his second year and a good receiver with around 700 yards that year but not the Pro Bowl Reggie Wayne were all familiar with. Marcus Pollard was decent, he had 478 yards and 6 TD's. Ismael didn't even reach 500 yards, he was like our Harry Douglas. Like I said Manning's only real weapon in 2002 was Marvin Harrison.
