Did We Give Up Too Much For Julio?

We got more out of him than we likely would have out of those picks. He is one of the Elite 8 receivers, who are "everything" receivers. Basically, receivers who automatically make an offense better with all the attention they command, and have so many ways to beat you they are **** near impossible to stop. A defender may stop one thing they do well, but they'll just be beaten another way most times.........The 8 are Andre Johnson,Calvin Johnson,Larry Fitzgerald,Brandon Marshall,Vincent Jackson,Julio Jones,DeMaryous Thomas,Dez Bryant.

Been saying this all along.

But in TD we trust.

TATF enjoys hearing about 5 names you could have drafted instead. I like including a DE and CB in that list to point out that having young players in those two positions means you don't have to sign Ray Edwards or franchise Brent Grimes.

There is a big butterfly effect to that trade.

Julio Jones has lived up to being a Top 10 #1 draft pick. No question.

But to say he's lived up to being a #1, #1, #2, #4 and another #4 pick would be reaching hard.

Are his stats better than Megatron, Andre Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Dez Bryant, Vincent Jackson or AJ Green? I could add others into the conversation like Roddy White,Brandon Marshall or Marques Colston.

If you give up the farm for a player, he needs to be the unquestioned face of your team, or at minimum, the absolute best at what he's doing. He's neither of those so far.
