Impeach Obama

Recommended Posts

I know some of you are frothing at the mouth to lay into me after reading that title, but it is actually the notion of a guy who goes by the handle of "TheAmazingAtheist". This guy is hugely popular on Youtube (421,000 subscribers currently). He is as dizzy on many subjects as you would expect a far left grown man wearing a Batman shirt to be, but I'm curious if this attitude towards Obama from the far left is an anomaly, or do some of you here that could be viewed as anywhere from left of center to far nutjob left (there are in my opinion, many examples here of the former and several of the latter) agree with him. He (grudgingly to admit for me) makes several valid points about the current administration as well as the preceding one.

Warning: It is full of examples of a liberal's interpretation of civil discourse that occurs when there is a disagreement on policy....meaning chock full of profanity and insults

If nothing else, watch the setup to the speech that begins at 1:36

I agree 100%, skip ahead to the 7:55 mark, he is off the air in place of an amazing comparison of words.

Politics.

The president is the puppet controlled by therest of our government. All politicians lie. I honestly don't trust any words that come out of our leaders mouths anymore.

This is one of the reasons why I normally remain out of political arguments on this forum, because most of the time, it is bullsh!t.

If the editorial page of the New York Times is any indication, the liberal establishment is pretty ticked off at Obama.

Can't say that I blame them. They fell head over heels for his charisma only to now discover that all they got was eight more years of the same thing Dubya was giving them.

The irony to me is the right hates him, when for all intents and purpose, he is a better republican than Bush ever was.

A lot on the left are having their bubbles burst that Obama isn't a left wing politician despite all the brain dead on the right who are absolutely convinced he's socialist or communist and think the NSA surveillance is completely unrelated to the Patriot Act, which they kept telling people to accept or be labeled anti-American since they shouldn't be afraid unless they have nothing to hide.

Of course. Obama isn't "their guy". So who cares that he's doubled down on basically every policy that "their guy" enacted. He's the enemy.

The whole purpose of the Team Elephant vs Team Donkey side show is to keep us neatly divided and blaming the other side so we never turn around and see who is really ****ing us in the ***.

One day, hopefully, people will see these things. Until then, we are so fkkkked.

I am astounded that people are reacting this way, as if this is anything new. The government has been doing this a long time, even before 9/11. Did Obama lie? Yeah, so had every other politician... ever... I'm not saying any of it is right, but that people are completely out of their minds if this is all news to them.

Obama is like any other politician, he will flip flop as soon it seems opportune. There are only three constants with the Obama administration: a. protecting corporate big business and b. support private and federal data gathering and c. use those two alternating to support each other.

That is the exact opposite of what I expected him to do. No matter if you consider yourself left or right or whatever, everyone should be very worried about this.

This is great. Someone actually claiming that President Obama is not a left wing type guy. But the rest of this mini rant is absolutely hilarious.

My comment is more valid than ever before. I really can not hide my disgust for Obama anymore. It is way beyond what I thought about Bush, he was just an honest fool. Obama on the other hand is a stone cold politician who sells our freedom to the highest bidder on every chance he gets.

And to clarify the selling out part... not only to big corporate business but also to those endless govt agencies who are way more busy competing with each other than actually doing the public a service... but instead of putting an emphasis on doing that, Obama is feeding those trolls our freedom... the same freedom the generations before this idiot fought for against facism, communism and totaliltarism... I have a friend who grew up in Eastern Germany and always tells me that he would never have imagined the Western World turning into the East within just a decade, essentially viewing your own population as the enemy.

Disgusting...

So true - i grew up in Eastern Germany too ( though Im not the friend he mentioned here ) and its amazing that we ( east germans ) got away from a system that tried be Orwells dystopia only to end up in a different version of it again 20 years later ....

When NSA revelations were made, Obama said he felt that government had "struck the right balance." At his final presser of 2013 (after a public outcry that clearly caught the administration off guard) he said he was "reevaluating" the balance struck by government. Today they say he just didn't know what was going on. The guy will say absolutely anything.
