Although every team is 0-0 and history says half of the teams that made it to the postseason in 2012 are susceptible to being left out of this year’s playoff field, it’s hard to ignore what teams did last year when trying to determine what they’ll do this year.

This year, the Saints still have plenty of weapons on offense, and their defense can’t be any worse than it was in 2012. It’s amazing that they still won seven games (including a victory over the Falcons), despite the multi-layered mess.

This year, there’s normalcy in the offseason for the first time since 2009. Three years ago, the Saints were dealing with the afterglow of a Super Bowl win, and the complacency, fatigue, and rubber-chicken dinners that go along with it. In 2011, the lockout turned everything upside down, for the Saints and every other team. Then came 2012, the strangest offseason that arguably any NFL team has ever had to endure.”

We’ve been looking forward to this for a while,” quarterback Drew Brees said recently, regarding the normalcy that has descended on the organization. “Just getting us back in this locker room in mid-April and just focusing on getting better in the weight room and just being around the guys. Getting back to football, and that’s what we do.”

But things still aren’t truly normal. They’re better than normal because, at a time when everyone has written off the Saints, the team has gotten a kick in the butt from the return of Payton and the arrival of Rob Ryan.

So don’t write off the Saints when the time comes to decide which teams will thrive in 2013.

See out of the 7 teams the Saints won against. The only team mentioned was who? Their rivals. He but lets not forget the bucs and panthers also got a W last season vs the Falcons. So what makes the Saints so special there that it was worth name dropping the falcons for?

How is this even news to start with. lets see every year different teams make the post season. So is that news worthy? NO

Every year, every teams goal is to make post season that year, not just the saints. So is that news worth? NO

So the sainst won a superbowl, lets give them the superbowl hang over as a excuse to why they didnt go back years later. Is that news worthy? NO The pack nor giants nor anyone else recently was mentioned. So does that make the saints special? No

So why even make this news except to give the who dats hope for the first time since the SB year the stars may be in all lined up for a SB run.

Brees is getting older and the Saints are strapped for cash and most offseason revolved around getting Dallas's fired DC and getting a few backups in there. But all a sudden its a perfect situation for them.

This is a bigger homer story than some blogger would right on the saints report. Its a shame that its even on a good news site. But its no shocker Florio is the guy who made it.

The saints have a legit shot true. They have a talented team. But so do a lot of other 500 teams. Cowboys have a ton of talent and really have no reason to be 500 or under.

Panthers should be better as Cam is getting more mature and growing.

The Bucs have spent their cash got some Huge name impact players and Freeman is no rookie.

While stats say teams that make post season usually dont go back. The falcons who never had back to back winning seasons are on a roll of 5 in a row.

Yet the Saints because they dont have a superbowl hangover or a bounty gate distraction. They are the ony team worth noting.

Florio is a who dat!

Florio is just an idiot. I feel I would be cheating that idiocy if I confined it to one team.

Now I don't even watch any form of MMA, but I know who the Gracie family is.

Florio once said the Gracies were "so legendary I ( himself)have never even heard of them"

Florio loves the Saints.

The Saints love Florio.

Florio astutely points out the Saints beat the Falcons.

The Falcons probably know this too.

Shred hates Florio.

Florio doesn't give 2shits about Shred hating him.

So there you have it folks.
