That clown didn't answer your question. Let me answer it for you:

2012

21st in rush yards allowed

25th in rush TDs allowed

29th in rypc allowed

SEA ran over em in the playoffs with 123 yards and 2 rush TDs. SF smoked em even worse with 149 yards and 3 rush TDs. Now let's compare that dismal performance to the BVG run defenses with Lofton at MLB:

2011

6th in rush yards allowed

12th in rush TDs allowed

16th in rypc allowed

2010

10th in rush yards allowed

8th in rush TDs allowed

27th in rypc allowed

2009

12th in rush yards allowed

10th in rush TDs allowed

8th in rypc allowed

2008

25th in rush yards allowed

23rd in rush TDs allowed

29th in rypc allowed

What happened 007? I mean we still had Babineaux, Jelly, Biermann and Nicholas. The only real difference in 2012 was Dent for Lofton and Nolan for BVG. Looks like this little gem of a thread may have backfired on you son.

He ain't gonna answer that bro. They got their ases handed to em all year long. Just about every team we faced ran all over us. Including both playoff games.

How many yards did Lynch ran against us? He ran over every one in the NFL right. How much did DOug Martin run over the falcons, after he ran like 700 yards in his last 4 or 5 games prior to playing falcons.

You need to learn the game of football . Falcons run defense was bad for many reasons and not just " poor tackling " . The loss of Lofton hurt. Him and Weatherspoon gelled in 2011 . Lofton was a great run stuffer as well .Subliment a young LB like Dent with little experience and gap assignments the trust wasn't there . Plus Nolan ran a 4-2-5 scheme and with a lack of big boys up front it leaves gaps in run game . plus having the extra DB doesn't help on field vs run sheild blockers or put a hat on helmet . So don't be lame and educate yourself with some football knowledge and go deeper then " poor tackling" Falcons had poor tackling in 2011 at times with Decoud . He still has not been coached up properly and poor tackling is on cosches not coaching up the players

You been educated falcon007

Educated LMAO, The falcons gave up 97 yards per game in 2011, the difference between 2012 and 2011 was big plays primarily due to missed tackles accounting for 25 yards/game. And most of those tackles or big plays were because failure to set the edge. Last I checked Lofton was an MLB and he would have been on the outside making tackles. Learn to watch some games before you talk.

ummm and gap disipline . Even pointed out in article you posted . Can you be any more of ignorant clown to leave that out

The three most common themes in the big plays were missed tackles, poor edge or gap discipline and read option to some extent. Lets take a look at the five of the eight big run plays allowed by falcons in 2012.

Gap Discipline can be any where on the field, not just middle and it includes all the players not a MLB.

Gap disipline . = loss of Lofton and how he was leader of run defense and excelled in gap assignments

Post me a gif from last year where a RB ripped right through the middle for a long gain. The gap discipline applies to outside as well, which is where most of the big runs came from.
